Well, I ran Yuzu through the tarot card generator someone mentioned in the thread. Here's what came up:

Um, I don't trust the site, but it sounds reassuring?

Well, that Tarot website and its random generator was more on point with predictions that the rational figure skating fans, so we can trust it as much as we can trust anythings...

Frustrating and regretful. His two favorite words in both Japanese and English :p

Maybe he should really consider switching the 4T in the SP for the 4S (or 4Lo). It can't be any worst than his current 4T success rate in the SP.

If he had bad practice and did bad in competition, I'm not worried. But this. Good in practice and bad in competition means he has some mental issues:scratch:hopefully he can get back strong tomorrow.

I just read some days ago about a girl skater crying in a tweet, who failed SP with popped out 3T+3T into 2T, and she tried 3F into combination of 3F+2T, and both jumps were kicked out. She was so shocked about the tech. results. I thought what a poor girl

I really didn't want to see the same today. I don't like this rule about double jumps. The restriction about jumps should be just for triple/quad jumps.

I'm afraid he looked a bit different from AC, less concentrated?

I will just expect on ANGRY Yuzuru tomorrow. Go for it, Yuzuru :cheer2:

Alright guys. Who are the brave ones that will watch FS live ?

Changed my work schedule around for it so heck yeah I'm watching! Actually, I usually find myself really nervous for his SP (especially Chopin) but not so much with his FS. Maybe he feels this way too and projects it? Anyway, wanna see fierce demon Yuzu take the ice!...please

I will even die from it ...
and I can not with that bed now with bronqujite and asthma ..

in Brazil 23: 30hs, like sleep ???

Please take care and try to get some rest~

And Pamina...buttons! :laugh2:

Unless the men all have personal best tomorrow, Yuzu will need a score around 170 to be on the podium, or 180-185 for silver, or possibly gold?

yeah that's my worry too.

look at this photo Yuzuru looks slimmer and humble to me ..
let it be nothing .. photo #1

Anyone know what Yuzuru are wanting to ?? #2

I agree...he's looked so thin lately. Yes, I know he is always thin, but in the last several months I noticed a change, mostly in his face. It's not as full as it was which makes him look 16 again. I worry that he doesn't take in enough calories when he's training hard.

I also wondered what he ws asking for in the K&C. Was it water or a towel?

Defintely "regretful" tonight. He looked extremely nervous before his music started and he had trouble catching his breath. He'll be mad  and fight hard tomorrow.

Did anyone else notice he changed jackets in the Kiss and Cry? From the blue one to the vest. Just weird :p

Perhaps that's what he asked for?

Come on, let's keep the faith on him. It's Yuzuru we're talking about, he doesn't stay down.

I think he was asking for the vest and said "besuto"
Someone who actually speaks Japanese correct me if I'm wrong.
(or leave me this little victory before I finally try to go to sleep :hopelessness:)

NHK 2014 aside, when was the last time Yuzu had a bad short and didn't fight back in the long? Rostelecom 2010?

I'm kinda shocked at his meltdown but I believe it might be a lead to something good in the free skate, I hope his free skate would be good enough for him to at least get onto the podium (I won't think about him winning patrick or anything at this point) I just want him to at least be in a good position to get into gpf...... hope he'll be able to manage the pressure!

I have a feeling that he's pressuring himself to do well ESP when he thought that there's no longer excuses like lack of preparation, injuries etc to justify not doing well...... I feel that he is probably stressed because of this......

hope yuzu would skate cleanly and well tomorrow!!! Go yuzu!!! Just do your best and relax!

The moment that music started and he began to breath heavily, you just know something wasn't right  He wasn't mentally ready for this. Well, when he usually does bad on the SP, he does fairly well on the LP and that can be applied to when he has a good SP but bombs in the LP (Is that how it usually is? Because I'm going to rely on this superstition for tomorrow's FP). Okay, Yuzuru! Good luck tomorrow! You know what you have to do! :cheer:

it reminded me of worlds 2014, he looked way too nervous.

I have also been thinking the same thing. I am afraid if he has something gastrointestinal problems even if he is the type of person who usually doesn't eat much.

I hope him making strong come back tomorrow!! GO Yuzuuu :cheer: You can do it! :cheer2:

Yeah, I'm disappointed in the result but I hope for the best in the FS tomorrow when Yuzu skates to Seimei with fire in his eyes! I also wonder why he never skates well during the GP and then peaks in the GPF, is it just a Hanyu thing or is it the norm for other skaters too?
Top skaters probably aim to peak at GPF/Worlds with their training, I don't know if it's true for other skaters, Americans seem to aim to peak at Nationals (in order to get to Worlds), and many probably aim at any international comp. But for skaters like Yuzuru and Patrick they probably want to make sure they don't peak too early in the season. Heck, with Patrick he seems to aim to peak at Worlds and not necessarily GPF. And with all skaters it probably takes a competition or two to get back in the competition zone/mindset(Disclaimer:this is just my theory)

I did a tarot reading with my deck for Yuzuru tommorow since that seems to be a thing now: good news: three card spread gave me Ace of Cups (good omen for new beginnings), Magician (same, but also means full use of one's power; and also it must be connected to Semei:biggrin:), and six of pentacles (things taking a turn for the better, usually with gains, but maybe in this case points!)

To be honest... I am kind of relieved that he didn't skate too well. Because too well means he peaks too early. Of course I don't want him to do badly. This is Yuzuru's usual pattern in the GPs anyway, he either messed up the SP or LP. And this time I suppose the bad has fallen on the SP.
