It's bit scared to go edge board, me too. who critcize yuzu every thread..and also who down other skaters mentioning yuzu even when he doesn't competed. and yes, also yuzu fan downs too.
I was not a fs fan before I know yuzu and even felt figure fandom war looked odd and unpleasant to me at past in my country. but understand some, now. sometimes I imagine If I didn't know yuzu, plushenko is all I know about men's fs world, haha.
Anyway every competiton is different and each skaters have had effort for their achievments. And judge tendency is not their fault. yeah, fair is important. but in subjective sports, It's gettig tired to argue that for me more and more. Also
technical matters became subjective, too. maybe this is why I'm a less competitve person. and men's fs score became simple. as who in this thread said, if you want gold or high score, you land multiple quads and other elements cleanish.
I think it's ok in aspect of sports, at least. For top contenders, pcs will be decided to their tes and consistency especially big stage, eventually. yes, someone will complain or agree, but there isn't anything we can change..just history continues whatever.
strategy and choice are up to skaters and coaches. I don't know how yuzu's this situation and challenge will be treated future.. but I think he cannot help doing he can as he said. don't you guys think this season looks like his 1213,1415 season? even though he
can't win or clean performance, he must try to land them at most. this will connect next season's feedback, I think. upgrade or keeping or downgrade BV.
I think what he need next season will be mindset when he challnge chan 1314season and keep his body health. yes, javier looks like rocking solid this season and other young guns with big jumps seems ambitious. As a competitor, it's a natural attitude.
but as yuzu fan, I think chaser mode is fit for him although someone disagree. Someone who had known him through world records call him prodigy, but I think he is more hard working man than gifted ones in mind, physical both way.
I sometimes go and read previous archieve threads like 2011, 2012,2013 seasons. He got praise and also a lot of criticsms for costume, injury, coach, style and national stage status, underscoring as a promising skater and overscoring as a contender skater.
Reading those posts are weird to me, even though he's still young, but he had a really long way...I really respect for any figure skater's longtime fans who have went through up and down everythings. and I can feel history repeats itself. After 10,20
years later, gs forum and youtube still fight whether under or overscoring and keep goes on... maybe then, I highly doubt that I will belong to fs world, but still hope yuzu's bright future.
when fav skater goes down, I feel sentimental. this is off topic, but my fav current lady skater is julia, although she will can't be top form again, still good to see her on competition. I don't know he will contiune competiting after 18, but I hope he will continue at least 1 season with nanami abe and team sendai as long as his body is ok..but it's up to yuzu and I accept whatever. oh too long and random writng of the stream of consciousness. and I love his swan as much as I love requiem
