Oh well Yuzuru hasn't skated clean LP for a while, he is on the losing side here. I have no doubt he won't give up in the free. What makes me mad is that he let himself be affected by the skating order again and again and again. I am really mad right now.
Even if he wins this competition, I am still mad cause he hasn't learned his lesson at all. It's not about winning this competition anymore. It's not Olympic yet. Frankly I don't even care about WC next month. What I am mad is that he hasn't learned a single bit.
I mean I absolutely understand and to me it's frustrating that he trains so hard and then stupid things like the starting order can knock him off balance but I think it's just something we're going to have to accept as a weakness. He may genuinely not be able to overcome this. Not everything can be conquered, especially things that are partially psychological. I think he knows and his new relaxed and happy face is a way to try to combat this but it may just not work. So we adjust expectations and it wasn't that terrible today, it was still a decent skate.oh you and your rational thinking![]()

Which is why I think it's important he does his best tomorrow. Personally I think it's time to conquer the thought that's he's an SP skater. That, I would appreciate more. He cannot rely on his short all the time to pull him through because the gap is closing. So he'd have learned something if he gave us a great free at least (winning or not in the end).
He just needs to get that to click in his head. And honestly, if he thinks he needs to YOLO something then do it! I don't even care if that causes him to lose, it's the fighting spirit that will matter tomorrow and going for it.
He should be his focused, intense self and fight for it! He can, we know he can.
What's the mistake in the 6 minutes warm up?
If you watch programs of Brian Orser as a skater and then watch newer Javier programs you can definitely see that Javier is Brian's pupil. He looks almost like a clone, his whole body movements. I think he molded Javier after himself in a way. But Yuzuru remains to have his own style and doesn't look like Brian Orser 2.0. He does best when he skates to programs he likes. I think I read in this thread that Orser said that the programs this season aren't the real deal and not what he would've chosen, that the Olympic programs will be better. I totally disagree, I think that the combi of Let's go crazy and Hope and Legacy is the best Yuzuru had yet. I think Yuzuru's programs like Seimei and Hope and Legacy are so true to his own self and not what other people thought he should skate to. He will go his way, and I pray that we will see at least Hope and Legacy clean once before it gets chafted for something of 'better quality'.

I'm gonna put down the bottle and jump on Fayruza's bandwagon now. You're way too doom and gloom, honey. He didn't cluster-bomb the entire performance, and it was only the short, so the competition is actually not over yet. It's a little too soon to bury his entire career. He has to learn. If not, it's over.
Isn't the 4S3T quite new for Yuzuru (since Worlds16)? Perhaps this will be like his 4S... Unstable now and later his most stable jump? Maybe I'm a bit too optimistic, but people seem to generally say that 4edge-combos are quite hard? Are a lot of the men doing them? Perhaps that's why it's taking a while...
Kudos to 4lo for getting on the spot in such a short period, relatively:clapper:What's the mistake in the 6 minutes warm up?

It's not a bad day, it's his mentality and I am disappointed he hasn't learned.
This has happened from time to time. So if there is anything, he has to cope up with it over and over again.
I wish he will skate 2nd at WC and even 2nd next season. He has to learn. If not, it's over. He can't get the skate order he prefers always.
Good luck at FP, Yuzuru !!! :clapper:
Please tell me what time will Yuzuru skate ?![]()
I do think they or Yuzuru himself is trying a different approach too, psychologically. His demeanor at this competition is different and seeing him joke about his mistake and score is surprisingly nice and refreshing to see. It is much better than seeing him totally crestfallen after a mistake. So maybe that's why I am not bothered for now at least.
It may work, it may not work. But at least he/they tried something different rather than keep repeating the same pattern where he psyche himself and overtrain thus burnt himself out mid-season and injured himself by the second half of the season. Winning aside, if he remains healthy by the end of the season, I would still say it is a fruitful approach. I don't think the skate was bad too, though it was also not his best.
Though 4Lo and 4S3T really need to coexist peacefully and be friends. They are not friends in both the SP and LP. If one shows up the other won't.![]()

I think the 4S is jealous. It's the older child that now has to co-exist with the new baby and it's throwing a tanty of epic proportions. And the new baby just does not want to share because it doesn't know better so it screams when the 4S gets a bit of attention. We just need to wait a bit for them to grow up ... or put 4S in a corner and let the twin 4Lo play a bit too![]()
