I have prepared myself well for any outcome, from WD to Gold medal![]()

P.S. The narrator's voice resembles Miyano Mamoru's voice, is it him?
But watching the recent documentary makes me feel so inferior to Yuzuru.

If its any consolation to you, I recall Yuzuru used to be nervous with media presence.WOW seeing the letter "WD" scared me a little but whatever ease our hearts right![]()
But watching the recent documentary makes me feel so inferior to Yuzuru. He just lost Rostelecom cup but he is so chill and the rise of the youngsters makes him more eager to challenge rather than scared him. like can I interview his mom how to produce such a chill child like that? Here he is, media putting pressure on a repeat gold medal and started the season not strong but he's just there sipping coke and continue analyzing his skate. That is the reason why he is a world top athlete and I'm not.... I sulk for weeks when I don't get the grade I want in University![]()
I was ashamed of my life watching his old documentaries some years ago, and he was still 17 and I was 3* already![]()
If its any consolation to you, I recall Yuzuru used to be nervous with media presence.
When he first went training with Orser(2012/2013), with cameras present at the rink - Orser told Yuzuru "Dont be bothered abt them(the media)" and continued on with training instructions. Yuzuru was uncomfortable media was present while he is training.
By now, few years later, with OG and World titles under his belt, he would be used to the media attention.
So, Yuzu wasnt so chill before. He just learnt to deal with it/got used to it.
Now I'm a bit confused. Did he start practicing on ice in December or only in January?
Interview taken on the day after CoR, around 37:50.

(After drinking Coke lol)
"Well, umm, it is good, I am very satisfied looking at this layout. (giggling) I am glad."
"It's fun to be able to compete at this kind of level. I really didn't expect this (his layout? the level of Men's skating?) was going to be like this, not this far (laughs). (interviewer: When you were a child, you were saying that you wanted to do quintuple jump.) I'm almost there, only one more rotation. I'm saying "one rotation" but that one rotation is hard."
"If I could skate very decently in the layout of the last year, I would win almost on average (through this season). And maybe, without doing 4Lz, SP would be more stable and I would be able to keep staying in 2nd or 1st place almost all this season, with no worries. Umm, but still, I thought that was not good. To skate thinking and thinking, holding back something, is out of my line."
"Nathan-senshu will be improving of course. PCS of other skaters will be getting higher and higher for sure, but my PCS is almost at maximum and I can not raise it even if I try. Therefore, the gap is going to be smaller and I really thought I had to compete in BV to some extent."
"Finally...finally I came to be able to compete in BV, that is big (improvement). I think this is the start line."
Yes, it's him!
Oh, one of my favourite Seiyuus is narrating the documentary about my all time favourite athlete, no wonder I enjoyed it so much![]()
Yuzu resumed training a week ago:
https://headlines.yahoo.co.jp/hl?a=20180116-00000135-sph-spo
Translation from Iron Klaus on twitter:
"He started training around a week ago. I can't give you any details at this point. He has put effort into this without getting discouraged and we thank those who supported him. He is an athlete who can concentrate so I'd like him to get back into full form."
"#Kobayashi also clarifies that the media saying he was back training on Dec. 16 isn't accurate. At this point he was back "on the ice" but it wasn't exactly training yet."

Thanks for the article!
The tone of the article is very secretive:cool14:.
But I guess this indicate that Yuzuru really waited until the injury is healed for sure. and now it's about the time he had until Olympic *biting nails*
I wonder how much time did he had to train back in World 2015... a week before competition? I heard it wasn't long and that's why he is unstable... but his performance is still quite solid, all things considered.
He had just 3 days of training before GPF 14 and 10 days of training before WC 15 If I remember well.
3 days before GPF 2014! Or do you mean NHK 2014? He should’ve had about two weeks between the two comps.
