Popping in to say congrats to Yuzuru! More than being #1 after the SP, I think this is a celebration of the fact that he conquered his injury. Tomorrow is going to be a tight race but I trust that he would be fine, especially after noticing that he's a lot more relaxed now compared to the other competitions these past 4 years. He isn't as tensed and I think that really helped him today.
Although I must say I'm disappointed that after such a wonderful performance, South Korea is attacking him over Kimigayo. I don't know if he commented about it in one of his interviews today (I haven't seen any clear English translation of this issue) or what but I first saw it trending on Twitter. While I understand their history and where they're coming from, I don't think it's right to bash his personality or wish for him to lose just so that it wouldn't be played in the arena. I mean, this is the Olympics. If they are that concerned about it, shouldn't they have questioned their Olympic committe beforehand about what they'll do if a Japanese won? I dunno, I've been dreading this scenario for years and now it's happening. I just hope Yuzuru never hears of this mess before the FP.
ANYWAY, good luck tomorrow yuzu!!!! Will continue sending good vibes through my phone's screen
