Yuzuru Hanyu: 2017-2018

Thank you for sharing!

I thought he was doing the rehab in Japan  But yeah, as I said before, it is much easier for him to get the ice time privately if he is in Toronto, so this is really good sign IMO. It's spring break here and probably Ice rink Sendai is crowded with the public and the same goes to other rinks, and pro skaters also have to practice their programs for the spring shows.

I hope he is already working on the new programs, finding the music or discussing some ideas with the choreographers :)

But he's not supposed to be skating:palmf:

Skating can be very many things. I am sure he's not, at least not in the way you're thinking. He can just glide around a bit to keep the feel of the ice and not go crazy too  Don't worry, it'll be fine, they're great at stuff like this and personally, I'm happy he's in Toronto because it's the better place for him to keep an eye out for everything.

I believe he has been doing the rehab according to their plan :) The resting period must have been over and he started to skate only to feel the ice with no jumps (from Orser's comment). About working on the new programs, he can do many things without being on the ice, meeting with the choreographers or editing the music  And he has confirmed he will not skate in CiONTU so I guess he has been taking the training carefully and slowly.

I guess it's safer if Brian is watching over him than if he was in Japan.

Yes, I'm touchy myself but I've seen this often, especially with Asian men. These were the easiest to find:

With Alina, and in general, once you notice, you'll never miss it again

I have notice he does it, sometimes, but I never new it was a thing

Even buzzfeed made an article abut it

Cultural differences I believe; in one culture (mainly Asian) it is considered to be polite and act of gentleman to not touch someone when posing (not taking advantage of the opportunity), but in Western cultures the opposite might be true. It might be considered rude or "oh, you don't want to touch me, is there something wrong with me?".

Complicated, I know! :noshake:
