He probably shaved them because the documentary in 2012 when He just went to Brian showed him getting a massage and he had hairs on his legs

Less hair probably means less weight on your body and hair can get annoying if you wear tight fitting clothes.

I didn´t knew this, but makes sense...
I also think there is a picture of Plushenko and Yuzuru and both of them are showing their legs...and he never have had that much hair to begging with...

All sort of Japanese surveys with interesting questions, I remember I saw this one: Which artist/sportsman you would want him to take your passager seat (copilot set) in your automobile? Of course Yuzu won the sportsman segment. http://autoc-one.jp/news/5001643/I share this with my friend, and my friend said: geez, I think it would motivate me to be a better driver.
I said: yes, if I imagined Yuzu in my passager seat, I have a strong sense of responsibility rise up inside me, I need to get him to the destination safely.
My fd: for sure, you don’t want to kill the National sportsman.
I: yes, I would have to “Seppuku” (切腹）(ritual suicide by disembowelment) if that happen.

I can imagine going to eat sushi, having a great conversation.
For codriver , he would choose his favorite music and would sing in aloud voice, disregarding if he does it right (as I do when I drive).
Your friend is right so such high responsibility to drive him around...
Do you guys think Yuzuru can drive? How does he move around in Toronto? Metro?
I really hate that I can answer this so quickly... but I would assume bus. I remember reading an interview where they referenced fans seeing him on the bus/taking that route to meet him. And it was said that sometimes he has asked coaches to drive him to practice because of fans stalking the bus route.
(Stalking is my word/term. Not great behavior by people who consider themselves 'fans') Apologies for not having a source for this, they all blend together!

I guess why he would feel insecure if people are just waiting in his bus station... do people drive a lot in Japan? that would made his life so much easier...

A lot of people drive, but public transport is Japan is so good, it can take you almost anywhere. So driving is not a necessity like it is in the US for instance.

That was early on and highly unlikely now, considering his fame. Probably has someone drive him.
That's what I was thinking - he has a team, right? Besides his mother, a trainer, a nutrition expert(s), maybe a manager? I've been wondering why he was in the grocery store at all? You'd think he'd be worried about fans approaching him - he wouldn't want to be rude, but surely that would be a pain if you just want to buy some food for your empty fridge when you get back into town. But why not just make a list and send one of your assistants?
Orser kept comparing Javi and Yuzuru, saying Javi lived alone, did his own cooking, etc. I wonder if Yuzuru wants to be on his own now, especially having to hear Brian call him "a bit coddled" - though what superior athlete in the world isn't? (well, other than Javi I guess
) And he still hardly had time for the training, rehab, competitions and online university studies.Sometimes, listening to Brian, I felt like he identified with Javier more than Yuzuru and maybe favored him a bit - but then, after the Olympics, I heard the interview where he said that Yuzuru was, without doubt, the goat, and compared to Javi, Yuzuru's jumps were clearly better - that he flies, he soars, and Brian marvels at him. That made me feel better. I was getting tired of the "He lives with his mother and she does a lot of things for him..." line.
I think that Brian identified with Javi in his off ice personality and skating style. While I remember he said somewhere he saw his young self in Yuzu in his mentality as an athlete. Him saying Yuzu lived with his mom and such was just a way to emphasize just how different Javi and Yuzu are, not just in skating but in their lifestyles.

I think one of the reasons his mother is staying with him is asthma. Sometimes people say adults must take care by themselves even if they are sick, but it makes big difference when they live in foreign country. It's much better to have someone knows you well around.

The old gentleman that goes with him to competitions, I think he lives in Japan too and only travels in competitions?
I think that when Yuzuru talks about his team he refers to his trainers and his parents... we know he doesn´t have a manager
And I think that he lives very low key in Canada, even is he has money it looks like things hasn´t change for him in comparison to before the Sochi years
I agree, and I don´t resent Brian for favoring Javier, they have similar personalities
But I do believe that he genuinely cares about Yuzuru, specially before this Olympics when he said that whatever it happened he wanted to Yuzuru to end with a smile, and that he would give him all the time he need to made a decision about his future...

I feel like Brian is probably closer to Javi, but I wouldn't necessarily say that he favors one student over the other. IMO Brian is far too professional for that. Being closer to Javi is understandable because he has such a warm and inviting personality. Yuzuru is an amazing individual, but I think his intensity and competitive drive makes him less easy to become close to.

Not to mention the language barrier. I remember Brian saying that Yuzu could be holding a press conference in Japanese and then say things even Brian didn't know about. I imagine with Javi it's probably easier to just talk about life in general, especially since Javi seems to have acclimated a bit more with Canadian style life. Yuzu a bit less so and that's his prerogative. He's there for skating and leaves it at that (and it got him 2 olympic gold medals so you can't really argume about it). It's just seems like Javi was there for a bit of living too.
Thanks for the replies. I think I've been too sensitive about Brian's remarks. He does seem to really love Yuzuru in the Kiss and Cry - I'm always touched by him holding Pooh and when he reaches up to hold Yuzuru's face in his hands. It's heartwarming that Yuzuru is already back in Toronto after the second gold - I would never ever have predicted he'd be back so soon. So that must mean something.
And I'm interested at the rumor that Wakaba Higuchi might be taking Brian Orser as her coach. It would be so cool if there was another Japanese skater working there - and maybe I read this here (forgive me if I'm repeating) but Midori Ito saying that Wakaba can do a 3A and should try - well, who better for axel jump hints than Yuzuru Hanyu (and Brian Orser, the first man to land one in competition, right?) Like Yuzuru might say, this could be an anime plot!
