I don't mind FS looses hundreds of spectators if they are these people

You blame he wrong person. He's working hard to make new programs work. Let's give him time and try to stay positive instead, shall we?
I watch his last two years performances daily. I enjoy them a lot. I don't care about comments. I care about the emotions that he brings with his performances to me. That's the only way to keep mind peaceful.

Being a Yuzu fan is an exercise in patience, that's one thing I've learned. He will not be hurried how we fret...

I don't tend to find them so bad... I know there are some of my fads and fancies where I probably do things just as irritating to those in the field with more knowledge

And given that I actually found Yuzu and figure skating via Khakaturian.... Yuri is at least tangentially related (oh god, if he announced one of his programs was Masquerade, I would die. I know he won't. But still...)

Miu Suzaki and Ryuichi Kihara skated to "Yuri on Ice" (Yuri's FS) at the Olympics! And poor Kihara-san got his first name butchered by the commentators. They called him "Raiuchi", if I remember correctly.

I live in Japan and I can understand Yuzu wanting to keep his programs secret until nearly completed, considering other top skaters who did reveal early have had their stuffings bashed out of them on the Internet (and Yuzu has probably seen them).
The media here is terrible, he is in the tabloids and gossip net articles every day, and people speculating .... when he has not said or done a thing.... Can’t blame him for being cautious.

I can't believe that Yuzu will keep his programs sealed just because he saw those anti threads. He's seen them years back I presume. Why suddenly keep quiet about program reveals all of a sudden? He's spoke out before about antis. He knows these things happen.

I apologize If I sounded definitive, of course I am not Yuzu, I am only speculating, the other skaters being criticized is just an example.

But I suspect that he is more sensitive and cautious of the media than ever before because he is a National hero now.

Yuzu commented when he got Peoples Honors Award that he took it very seriously and will strive to be an irreproachable and righteous person worthy of the award (as though he isn’t already!) ...

If they had Media Day I can imagine trashy Japanese media running around to catch him in the same frame as Evegenia, for example....


I really hope none of the above is true though and he’s planning a nice surprise.
