Kao Miura did not participate in the practices yesterday and today (Sat. morning).
According to the Japanese feds, he has been showing the symptoms of gastroenteritis.
Whether or not he will compete for free skate will be decided later based on how much he recovers.

Kao Miura did not participate in the practices yesterday and today (Sat. morning).
According to the Japanese feds, he has been showing the symptoms of gastroenteritis.
Whether or not he will compete for free skate will be decided later based on how much he recovers.

He shouldn't have messed with those nasty little bugs he saw at the rink during the SP (joking, I don't know if he touched them)

Figured it was illness and not injury that caused him to skip practices
One positive, if he's indeed suffering from gastroenteritis he'll likely recover quickly and be able to properly train and compete at Nationals in good form...which is his primary focus for this season

I honestly don't care if he decides to withdraw from the FS
Competing while he's sick just increases the chance for injury
I just want him to be healthy and feel better soon

Oh man, I hope he's doing okay. Gastro is such a pain, so I can't imagine how awful that feels.
I heard he still plans on competing? But I have no idea if that's credible or not, it's just a rumor.
