To be honest, I really ike Nikita and wish him all the best. He looks gorgeous on and off the ice But the FD doesn't work for me, as I/Z's doesn't. They don't look polished, I/Z has definitely too much drama without lightness and ease, while in S/K's program I see a male diva and girl running after him. I don't agree that it was the best music choice. Going for something very classical, with significant male role would be a better choice IMO. Or the choreography Zueva created for the Italian, the one they showed at CoC. Strong man and innocent girl, expressive for him, with her in the shadow. Such a distribution of parts would be more pleasant to watch, I suppose.

I'm speaking about his movements. Over gesticulations, big shapes apparently. Not even an italian can do that. But yeah, his twizzels looked less drunk today.

I absolutely agree on this. His flailing arms are distracting, and always were.And sometimes they just take away from the dance, and sometimes also he's like he's dancing the same thing every time.He was lucky to have Ilinykh who is versatile.
And I tried a lot not to say that openly all this time,but if there is someone that reminds me of Scott Moir skating wise it not him as he thinks, but Zhiganshin

And I take back what I said about Gurreiro in his Pushkash days.He's a fine dancer

Kustarova says they are getting a break/taking it more slowly until after Russian Christmas/New Year, so the 5th of Jan, and then back to work fully. She says she's got plans already for changes to the FD which is what I think most people were hoping for!

This is good. There has been a lot of stress on them until this point. I hope they can relax now that they have proven themselves in Russia. I don't mind their FD. It's ok for a first program for a new team. I am glad they are going to make changes though.

They wouldn't look so over the top if Victoria matched them, but she doesn't, so he needs to tone it down. I loved his expressiveness in the step sequences in I/K's FD last year, but it was balanced with Elena giving all the black swan drama. s/K need a common language on the ice & they are nowhere near finding it yet.

But that's the thing though. First, and the most important thing is that Victoria is not like that. It's not her fault and he needs to tone it down, as you said. They are suppose to be a team, not single skaters. Z&G looks more matched together and skate more as a couple/team than these two, not to speak about I&Z.
Second, that's great for the Swan Lake moment that you mentioned, but I find it over the top for the blues. This one in particular. He needs to present Victoria here, allure her, not do a Michael Flatley.

This is good. There has been a lot of stress on them until this point. I hope they can relax now that they have proven themselves in Russia. I don't mind their FD. It's ok for a first program for a new team. I am glad they are going to make changes though.

On the contrary from what I saw in practice this FD though quite simple and sweet, I really like it. It has potential, but it has to be skated all out on fresher legs. I like it on them. It just needs a little tweaking here and there. Yes, on the grander scale of things their choreo has to become more sophisticated, but this is fine for a new team.

But you could tell they were completely exhausted today, mentally and physically. It makes what they've achieved all the more impressive. I could pinch myself I'm so proud of them. When I think the TAT said, I/Z cannot have a breakthrough this year, S/B will surprise !. Ha! They made her eat her words. Very few consistently, had kind words for I/Z. Today was a big accomplishment no matter what another season brings. This was big today. They should enjoy the moment to the max.

The better choice would be to give her a role of princess in a brave knights' shadow. You know, a romantic piece, she's smiling fainting in his arms and so on. I don't get all these Z/G love. I'm not having it. Their FD is right down the alley of a Pushkash/Guerriro program. They are rough on the edge here and there and G messed up the twizzle. I think the score is quite fair.

Yeah, Dracula could be a great idea. Plus, for example, Williams' music... or better Kilar's. YEAH.
And what do you think about the current Cappellini/Lannotte's FD? In a version they skated in China. Death and his Bride

I'd honestly be fine with them doing Dracula. Why not? There don't seem to be a thousand Dracula's hanging out in ice dance like the POTOs in singles.

(For the record: I have nothing against S/K and there are aspects of their FD that I like. I don't think she's as invisible as some people say. None of this is said to mock them or anything. But when I read "drunk twizzles" or "Dracula"... )

Why are you making excuses for their lack of results based on the fact that 'it is early days yet'? I/Z are not together any longer than them. Neither are Zahorski/Gureiro.
