2015 US Nationals Senior Ladies FS Jan 24

From Jackie Wong's Twitter account:

Report of what everyone did here.

Ashley Wagner- 3loop, 1/2loop3sal(stepout), 3loop1/2loop3sal, 3flip, 3flip, 3loop, 3lutz3toe, 3flip

Is she going to do a 3Lz-3T in the free, not 3F-3T? I thought 3Lz-3T in the SP was a good strategy because she could avoid doing the step before a Lutz as a solo jump (and maybe a better choice GOE-wise). However, in the free, she doesn't need to do the step going into a solo Lutz, and her 3F-3T seems more stable than 3Lz-3T (imo). Why doesn't she go for 3F-3T in the free?

Maybe she feels more comfortable with 3Lz-3T than 3F-3T? Hmm....

Katie did 3 two-jump combos, leaving off an additional 2Lo off her 2A-2Lo-2Lo. << on the 3Lo.

Katie McBeath ......45.36+93.32=138.68
Maria Yang .............42.79+ 88.61=131.40
Christina Cleveland ...45.24+70.02=115.26

Why did her coach shush her in the KnC? She was waving to the audience, then her coach stopped her and she slapped her hand over her mouth like she said something she wasn't supposed to

I dunno. I don't have IN, I'm just listening to the radio coverage & watching the scoreboard

I'm really curious about her planned elements. Maybe she's doing it so she can have two 3Lz in her program?

What happened to Christina's skating, no 3/3 no 2A/3T, no lutz! Skating so early... it is not worth taking a year out of Havard for it!

Ashley Wagner is on a mission to walk the walk, and joining the cirques du soleil as a tight rope walker at such an 'advanced age'. Totally nuts, and I applaud her for it.

Christina Gao got positive GOE on all her jumps except the 3F(fall) & no GOE on the 3S. FSSp4, CCoSp3p3, StSq3, ChSq1, & LSp3.

Christina Gao ........50.78+109.82=160.60
Katie McBeath .........45.36+93.32=138.68

Kinda wondering if Gao is just trying to stay in the sport until after graduation and then she will really go for it, like Paul Wylie did.

Christina is still going to Harvard. I think she did as well as she could considering the struggles this season. She still did 5 clean triples.

This first group of Ladies (aside from Gao) is a hot-mess, I can see why NBC isn't showing it.
