Yeah not to be too whiny but I'm going to end up being so unfulfilled by this competition re: Mirai. Even if she had fallen all over herself, it would be easier to accept than a freak accident harpooning her year.

Kind of this. Especially since it really did lead to a HARD fall on that knee- it wasn't a down then up sort of freak deal. It was just SO appalling. I really do pray for her, not for results really but that she can skate to her potential again- and not even her 'old' potential, but the potential she actually does have NOW.

One thing that bother me about the 14-15 year old skaters, is that while they're so light and have really great speed, they sometime skate too fast for their music.

Actually, I think you can't skate too fast. It's just that their speed is not effortless. They have to put a lot of power to quicken and maintain the speed. Yuna was skating with unbelievable speed to Gershwin or Sondheim and she wasn't too fast, was she?

Very skinny, juniorish and helicopter-like.
She's got great jumps so I hope she builds on them, and mature in her skating.
