I think so, too. But when you see the replays it is heartbreaking because you know that isn't the best she can do.

I pretty much placed the Russians and then the Japanese on top. Very happy for Zijun to have gotten in there above the Americans.

We know how she would have reacted. She would have dumped Gold like she does any skater who she hypes and then doesn't live up to expectations (you know, after we all had our fair share of getting our jabs in).
Even more satisfying is that Tuktamysheva - who skyfly always jeered about her weight - essentially blew the roof off the competition.
Ever since I saw that slow-mo, I think Satoko is overscored on her TES. AAnd Amano is supposedly strict on everyone?

I know, right. Posters have been taking swipes at each other since the second warm up group- usually it doesn't start until after the final scores are up. I don't know what's going on.

I want ashley to pull a Mao at Sochi and skate lights out in the free skate. Prove she belongs in that group.
Gracie's constantly inflated scores are infuriating. I like gracie, I think she has a tremendous gift but she doesn't deliver and looking pretty and knowing you have it in you isn't the same as laying it down when it counts. No way did she deserve to be higher than Ashley.

Well I have always thought they were among the most under marked out of the bunch so not really
...but then I have always thought at least an AMerican should be in the mix. umm....

It's systematic already. Note that I don't agree with Satoko's PCS most of the time, I think she is underscore in PCS. But TES should be truthful and it's not here and many competitions.

That was beautiful. Her jumps are huge!! She can score much higher than Mao because her technique on all of her jumps are so much better.

I know it is sad but I have to say that the US ladies tonight were disappointing to say the least. They didn't come here to fight, there just wasn't the sort of oomph. Look at Pogo, despite the injury, despite the fall and the pain, she fought through it. I didn't see any of that in the US ladies and Wagner just sort of lost the spark right after the pop on the combo. That clearly hit her on the PE / IN and she was less energetic than usual. Honestly, only Lena Radio and Tuks and certainly Kanako brought on their A game to the best they can tonight and the deserved their high scores. So did Satoko although I think her TES are way too high (I am ok if it is ~34) while her PCS should at least be 2 points higher with her excellent bladework, steps and musicality.
