Probably the judge tapped the wrong button and then didn't notice in time to fix it. Happens sometimes.

About 1 point for your first question. She's 5 points away from 5th so it's possible with a lights out performance.

I feel so bad for Ashley, she wanted a good showing at worlds, she was ready for it, but it seemed at some point something psyched her out.

This is so frustrating. No edge call and that is a big acheivement considering Amano but the nerves killed her as usual. I am so upset, I had the feeling she will do a mistake because everybody was expecting her to medal and she can't do it in these circumstances. I am her fan for a long time and I got to know her. She took the bronze in the GPF in her usual way, coming form behind and won the nationals when everyone exepected Gracie to defend her title, so not so many expectations for Ashley. But she did too many mistakes, if she had only that fall would have scored over 60.
Gracie was obviously overscored but I don't wanna go there. I like Gracie but she even more nervous than Ashley and I feel piti for her and her talent.
I don't know what to say about Polina. I liked her when she was a novice but seeing her on the senior level, she is just not what I like. There others that I like more. But... she really delivered when it counted the most thid season. So kudos to her, she might save the 3 spots for the US.
