Actually, it only applies to this OP.and other really long OP's with multiple editors.
If possible, I try to leave stuff the way other editors wrote it, especially the original poster's work ( in this case karne) But when half of a section is in one style and half is in another, someone has to decide which way to go for a uniform style for a partcular section of the document.
In this case, that happened in the articles and threads sections of Max's OP.
For better or worse, this time, the last editor was me, and I made the choice for a simple, unadorned block style, for the reasons I gave. But I have no problem with the OP owner of any thread reformatting my stuff to look the way they prefer it to look as long as they keep the content.
Ultimately, the owner of the OP is the person whose name is on the OP, and I would not want them to be unhappy with what appeared next to their name.
My dear Doris, I literally cannot thank you enough for all the labor that you are putting into all the OPs.
I assure you that I agree that too many cooks can spoil the broth. :agree:
That is why in future I plan to keep a safe distance away from any fan OPs that were mine. (And I will think many times before starting any new fan threads.)
You misunderstood the small comments I made in my post above.
- I was just explaining that I had not purposely added a lot of new formatting to my suggestion for those two old articles to be included in the OP.
My crime for the most part was that it did not occur to me that it would be helpful to remove existing formatting when I quoted the old posts that had the links. Now that you have pointed out that formatting is a hindrance to your OPs, I will remove existing formatting the next time that I am quoting old posts in a suggestion/request for an OP.
- And I was just saying that when I am adding a new post to an existing thread (and not requesting that the content be edited into the OP), my assumption is that it is unnecessary to refrain from formatting.

Thanks again for everything, Doris.
