Her skating (and music) are a bit like Liza T. Not a fan of the costume.

Valeriya was hurt by having to go first... she ran out of energy.

They need to find more music like her last year's SP.

Rin Nitaya does 3Lz+2T+2Lo with two 2A+3T's in the bonus... the same as Sotoko. I honestly find doing two 2A+3T's to be a bit lame at the senior level, but I wonder why more skaters don't do this as I think it would be the safest set of combos you could do.

I would add a caveat: that an individual person is free to choose to Westernize the pronunciation of her/his own name however s/he wants.

Along those lines. Nam actually commented on his TSL interview that he prefers a different pronunciation to his last name than his parents.

I think his parents like the one you cited, but he liked more of a N sound at the start.

Nice choreography by Akiko, but why do they have to be so literal with Juliet stabbing herself in almost every program?!

Rin has very nice qualities and did look Akiko-esque in many parts.
