2015 Finlandia Trophy Men's SP and FS

This guy oozes quality skating skills. The jumps are starting to show up a bit more. I may be a bit bias being from Canada but he could make a big splash this year. The judges are waiting for it!

He has a quad, but can't rotate a 3A? How?

Patrick Chan had 3A probs with a quad- maybe not with rotating to the degree Liam does, but :p

On another note, that darn While We're Young song is stuck in my head now

eta: that donut spin (?) was painful to see..

Yet another skater doing a mediocre job with someone else's classic music...Alexander Abt had a great program to Yablochko

Go Viktor! Now that's a Finnish man who did stand out. Not your typical jazzy/bluesy or tango/flamenco that we keep seeing over and over again.

Yet another skater doing a mediocre job with someone else's classic music...Alexander Abt had a great program to Yablochko

Whoops
Before my time, fresh to my eyes :laugh2:

You have a video link for Abt's program? Pretty please?

There are many male skaters who have/had issues with 3As. Stephane Lambiel never got it consistent, Oda was trying 4S before 3A (until Lee Barkell fixed his 3A), Patrick Chan seemed to prefer quads over 3A. Adam Rippon really struggled with getting his 3A consistent, and so on and so forth. In the ladies, Miki was capable of landing 3A, but said that she'll never attempt it in competition due to injury-causing fall she suffered in practice as a junior (4S felt "safer" for her).

Also Versluis is attempting 3A for the first time this season, although he landed 4T's last season.

Thanks for your answers, everyone. That facts about Miki was really , but makes sense when you think about it.
