Evita... it reminds me of Kiira, she was the best Evita. I miss her. But I was expecting some big things from Viveca and she did well. A lot of room to improve though. I saw her last year competing at nationals and she ended on the podium. I said then she is the one to take into consideration for the future finnish skating. Juulia is so musical and beautiful but can't jump and unfortunately she can't do nothing about it. She seems to be in a total regress.

I totally hate that husky Roxanne from Mouline Rouge, it just makes my ears bleed whenever a skater uses it, ugh. I've noticed that after it was allowed for vocals to be used in competitions in all disciplines I tend to switch off the sound in 25% of the skates. Some music is just really hard to stand. And sometimes the way they cut the music is just:shocked:

Yes the Roxanne one in particular kills me, partly because the (inevitably girls) who skate to it clearly have NO idea what they are doing/what it's actually about/how to convey the emotion behind it...

Memoir of a Geisha
Madam Butterfly

Really? I remember a single Miss Saigon though, Memoir is used by everybody, even Shibutani skated to it.

Yes it's frustrating though because Juulia HAS all the jumps, she is just an EXTREMELY inconsistent jumper in terms of popping in particular. It is very sad.

Yeah the skate while Asian collection It is either that or some Kungfu movies. It is kind of funny, why arn't more western skater skate to them? Hmm... The last time I saw a western version of Memoir of Geisha is Isadora Williams from Brazil I believe. Can't think of anyone else.

I don't mind them using it- just with a different interpreter (singer). I really hate the way that particular one sounds.

Yes I just made fan fest threads for a few of them- I was very surprised Juulia didn't have one yet! I also really love watching them even when the jumps really aren't there- there is a really sublime quality about some of their skating that makes me happy to be watching them.

Indeed. I've posted something about that yesterday. They are moving on the ice in such subtle way that it fits so much better to this environment. Can't really make out what it is. I do not see so much of it in Anne Line or Camilla, by the way, but the sisters have their own qualities.

I'm not sure, sorry. If a Japanese broadcasting channel has the rights to air it, then yes, you'll need the extensions since it will most likely be geo-blocked. But I don't know if that's the case

Maybe, if you're at a rink with many Asian or skaters with Asian heritage those few pieces are always in rotation, and if you don't want to skate to the same piece, then you look somewhere else for music.
