2015 Skate America Mens FS Oct 24

Also, let's not forget it may be typical podium feels: Gold is happy of course. Bronze is just happy to be there. But silver, well, silver is mad they're so close to gold but didn't win.

Seriously hope Shoma grows at least 3 inches in the next few years. I will be sad if the men's world champion is as tall as Evgenia. He always goes for the dramatic/"I am so profound" type of performance, and thinking he is 17 with a baby looking face creeps me a little. At times I feel he is also trying to be sexy in his moves. That's just my interpretation though.

HOLY MOLY! I wish you could have been there in person to see it! It was SOOOOO PHENOMINAL! The whole atmosphere!!!

And SHOMA!!!!!! WOW WOW WOW!!!!!! PHENOMINAL!

And I was ecstatic when I saw Jason was going to medal!!!!!

Yes! It was amazing-three standing ovations (Max, Jason, Shoma) and AMAZING energy and excitement. Really enhanced the event! Jason's music was almost drowned out by the cheering...wow, people REALLY love him!

They got little hands
Little eyes
They walk around
Telling great big lies
They got little noses
And tiny little teeth
They wear platform shoes
On their nasty little feet...

Don't want no short people round here!

For me CBC died while Han Yan was struggling so I also lost Max's skating. But my best were Brendon, Jason, and Shomo. Shomo was amazing, like magic on ice. Something reminded me of great Daisuke. Jason was very good, but I was almost horrified by his costume. He looked like a ballerina on ice. Jason, please stay less flashy, and drop those weird taste cleavages. Your music is too simple and and beautiful for such a flashy costume. I guess it must have been Rohene's idea.
But the first prize for weird costumes goes to Takahito Mura! That was really out of the place...

But what if that messes up his jumps? :slink: Shorter guys seem to have an easier time with jumps than taller guys (there are exceptions, of course)

Is this a song of some kind?

All it made me think was that Shoma should do a Lord of the Rings program.

Mura NEEDS to win gold in something...let's give him Gold for most memorable costume.
-It was better when it was blue. I don't know why they chose grey. That's like skydiving from a plane and deciding half way that you'd rather not. Go all the way!

Randy Newman, Short People. Big hit in the 80s, I think.

ETA: Sorry, 77. That's why I know it.:)

If he is taller, it will be more pleasant for me to watch even with one or two falls. I don't care about the judges, just about my personal appreciation. Same as Satoko. Her tiny figure and tiny jumps are not my cup of tea even when she is perfect clean. I would rather watch Gracie with two falls. Sorry, I am biased against super small figures.

Congrats to Max, well deserved Gold Medal! He had a rough couple of seasons
and it was nice to see him smiling again.

Congrats to Shoma for winning the FS and winning Silver at his first Sr. GP,
very talented young man!

Great comeback skate for Jason moving up to win the Bronze!

Shoma was definitely a bitter betty out there, but he's young so hopefully he'll handle defeats better as he ages.

Congrats to Max and Jason.
