It seems that just in the last few years the ISU? has required the skaters to sit in the KC until they are told they can go.
And the lounge waiting area requirement with camera's has absolutely nothing to do with sport or competition. It's dumb. Why do they have to wait in the chairs? Just to have the camera on them to see reactions when they win or lose?
Again, is this sport or made up drama for some reason?

True. I still wonder why World records are still a thing, though.

I said this in another thread but the ISU explicitly says on their website they don't do "World Records." They only call them "highest scores progression." It's been fans (and perhaps the Guinness Records people) who have called it world records without realizing the implications of doing so. This isn't swimming where people are judged by the same exact standard (i.e. time) and can therefore be compared across comps

Still we can look at why Evgenia with 7 triples and 1 fall can have a higher score Mao with 8 triples and no fall. I know they are not comparable but it has went to far beyond the acceptable range

Mao had two UR combos and a wrong edge lutz.
