Gracie isn't any different from how she's skated all season imo. Yeah, she had a good free at nationals, but after a raggedy sp.

Gracie started off the season skating better then ever had. SA she made the one mistake that killed her in the SP but nailed the LP and her SP at TEB was the best SP she ever skated and one of the best SP's of the season. But it's been a struggle since for some reason.

You could argue that her season started at Japan Open where she had a meltdown in the LP. Honestly she's just on and off and turns it on when everyone has totally written her off like the LP at Nats this year and Worlds last year. I would have been very curious to see her LP at TEB to see how she reacts after a clean SP.

Eh I'm not sure about that. Imagine if Mao had the same joyless/mechanical attitude in her Sochi FS after her SP meltdown.

Well, I'm not saying everyone would do it. Ashley always keeps a wonderful range of emotions and invested in her programs no matter what. I'm not trying to make excuses for Gracie, but I thought maybe she felt she needed to be all business, concentrate. I don't think I'd ever agree, but maybe someone thought that would work.
