2016 Worlds Pairs Short Program

Given the scores so far, we're in for another record breaking night score-wise. I'd say there probably will be multiple scores over 80 and 75 will probably have you around 5th place.

do we know why the North Korean pair that competed at 4continents isn't participating here?
did they not qualify? is it a visa issue? did they not apply?

They did qualify but we don't know an official reason. Most assume visa as there is not really a way for them to get a visa to the USA according to posters.

Both with PB's...they both gave it alright! Could not ask for too much more from these athletes. With Seguin & Bilodeau out, they stepped up! :thumbsup:

I would have thought S/B not being here is what gave I/M as suddenly the second place Canadians an uptick, but M-T/M also with an uptick from where they have been all season. Both respectable performances and they are good teams with more growth potential. Still the scoring is confusing. Can't imagine what top teams will be pulling down -- most likely with great skates by top teams we are looking at 75 - 79. Might some team reach 80?
