Well, at least they are guaranteed two events with their Worlds 9th place finish. But the ice dance field will be such next season that all events are sure to be tough - no easy ones. I don't think that S/K have much hope of getting into the Final unless they will have improved tremendously once again (and will be capable of beating at least some of the current top teams). We can never know what will happen, though.

I dont expect them in the final to be fair
Main thing for me is the high place in the national team
Now with I/Z being politiked by Igor it became even harder for S/K but Im trying to be somewhat optimistic.
Hopefully their programms will fit them like last year's
I think romance suits them just right
I dont think they go the hip hop route btw
Im partly sad that the events are so late but on the other hand they hopefully will have practiced them fully by then & will be confident
I actually was sure they would get SA like last year but I guess for some reason the Fed decided otherwise

I do hope they test out their programs in an international CS event. Maybe the US classics?
I think they're equally as relieved as we all are that there will be no S/K vs I/Z nonsense. That should give them an added lift.
I certainly am. And I think you saw last season that both teams are affected and get more nervous by the constant media attention that starts whenever they're in the same competition. At this point it's just a distraction for both teams, so I'm glad it could be avoided in the GP events. And yeah, it would make sense to test their programs in a smaller event somewhere beforehand. Perhaps if costs and travelling are an issue, in a smaller US event.

In June they worked with Maxim Kozhevnikov. That's all I have.

They are looking much more of a team now, this was lovely to watch.
It's their last season exhibition with a different music pasted on. But still quite lovely.

apparently Nick had a shoulder surgery in May poor bb
On Aug 4 it was posted that he healed but it was difficult for him to train 100%
There was some spec that they may not be performin at the test skates
but it seems they will be

I hope he is recovering well and training carefully. It is tough to have a surgery when the Olympics is coming up really soon.
I do wished they spilled some info about their programs though.

Yeah, I hope Nikita doesn't overdo it and try to rush back. Now it also makes sense that they got the last two GPs, probably to give them more time to make up for lost training because of his injury. For male ice dancers and pairs skaters, just like for male ballet dancers I guess, injuries probably get more and more frequent because of the endless repetition of lifts, that has to put a massive strain on the body. Particularly since ice dance is becoming more acrobatic all the time. Hope we hear about music choices soon.

By the way, their spin is created to fit the new unexpected or creative entry requirement, so it's most probably from their future FD.
