Figure Skating Anime

Ha ofc it's unrealistic I lol at the people expecting it

I can't imagine Yulia coming to the ladies WC & showting to someone like Ashley "yo moron retire already!!"-::::))))))

Yes. But something always happens .. And I'm sure you will defend Yuzuru and his skating even years later. ;)
Frankly I doubt that I'd follow FS until that time lol. I was into publishing for 10 years and I thought I would be in the industry for the rest of my life until I stopped.

It's so funny to see Plush vs Yags fan war after all those years lmao

Well, for me this story with "Evgeni, obviously!" is funny too, so yes, it was interesting to compare, and also to see, what do the authors think about the skating in general, how do they draw it and etc... And honestly I say, the promo clip seemed to be promising (from some points of view). I don't think, that anime never can be good. It just so happened, that I expected more after the promo clip, which we saw.

Yes, it is really funny, when somebody is assured, that love can be measured and etc. :coffee:

Victor's story is Plushy's story and he is much more popular in Japan as Yag.
Well, sure... Japan just hated Yagudin. Obviously! :coffee:

Some people still hate him.
"Obviously" became my favorite word. The funniest word.

It is also funny to see, that the dialogue between these two exists not only in comments on Youtube, but also for the professional skaters (from the professional point of view):

(though of course, I am not able to find the opinion of every skater)

But as for comments on Youtube and on forums... maybe it will be forever so. Not because of skating. (As long as people remember their names, as long as people can find the info...)

(Sorry. I wanted to answer earlier, but we had guests today and etc.)

Yes. There are moments on Evgeni's videos, when I think the same: "beautiful hands (arms)". Yet not because of dramatism.
Actually, as far as I remember, Mishin didn't like such a drama, so Evgeni's programs were not built on this.

Maybe Evgeni rarely tries to feel the movement before the movement is started, often he just throws his arms to the air (the movement begins from his shoulder, not deeper). Evgeni's arms can do many very fast movements, though of course, nobody is able to fill such movements with a strong energy.

Yet I suddenly found a video, on which Evgeni is nearly crying. And not only crying. Here I can say, that he fills every his movement with energy, that the movement begins deeper than from the shoulder. All the parts of his body work together. Here he is sincerely deep in the theme from beginning to the end, he is not boring for me even when he is preparing to a jump... This program is monolithic and sincere.

I think Nikiforov's "program" is monolithic for me. Boring and strange, but monolithic. I feel, that Victor (or Yuri) is sincerely lives through every moment.

It doesn't mean, that I need to see a man crying or that any program should be a tragedy. In programs of another sort the energy also can fill every movement. Yet it is hard to talk about such things. (And the English language is not native for me.)

And anyway, my feelings are just my feelings.

Your English is excellent..But you can't say this about my English..

Interesting. :) I watched the FS in my whole life... and I will watch it.

Well, I was speaking about Victor, not about the youngster. I think, that in movies we often see, that some characters are unrealistic (too evil or silly, for example), but the wise characters are wise.

For example, even in the "Shrek" movie a sort of philosophy was important for the authors. And in those anime, which I watched (as far as I remember).
Yes, I could expect a sort of philosophy in such anime.

I didn't say Yagudin is a hated skater in Japan. I said Plushenko is more popular as Yagudin in Japan. And in Europe, too. Have you seen this? Yesterday after Intimissimi on ice.. https://www.instagram.com/p/BLTAZYED6r_/?taken-by=rudkovskayaofficial OMG! those girls are crazy for him..

And do you think I shall write the names who call Plushy as their role model? Look at the other posters laugh at us!

It is OK. May everybody laugh!!! Isn't it funny? :cheer2:
I laugh from the very beginning.

As for those "role models", I say, that I don't dare to count, who is "more popular", - it is just funny to see two names so often: together or separately.

Your English is excellent..But you can't say this about my English..

I do my best. I try to notice what words other people use...

I am not sure, that "monolithic" sounds good in such a case for a native speaker, but I've chosen it, because I think, that nobody will see another meaning in this word (not the meaning, which I need).

I use a dictionary (multitran.ru), when I need a word. A professional translator said to me, that he uses multitran.ru. But when a word has many meanings, I am not sure, that I would choose the right variant.

And even GoogleTranslate can be useful. I can check what he shows, when I translate my English text to my native language. Google is a fool, but sometimes it helps to choose a better word.

Nikiforov got 335.76 points for the GPF. Yuzuru's world record is beaten.

And the bronze medal in the Worlds was claimed by a Kazakhstan skater who hadn't qualified for the GPF a few months before. It reminds me of someone. )))

By the end of this series they will have someone who does quint lmao

I already love this anime - why? A really good friend of mine, who usually isn't into FS, already loves it. She basically went "Do you know it? Don't tell me you don't because I wouldn't believe it anyway" and then "Isn't that Yuuri your japanese baby?" - no, no he isn't, thank you very much  'my japanese baby' = Yuzu, of course xD
And now I will SPAM HER with FS, and she brought it onto herself! Muhahahaha! :dev2::laugh2:

And I also liked the first episode. It's kind of surreal, but so fun to watch. And I'm ridiculously proud of the animators (and myself) that you can actually tell jumps apart, the 3A3Lo made me squeal like a little kid. The flying sit was also looking so cool!

Yes. But something always happens .. And I'm sure you will defend Yuzuru and his skating even years later. ;)

I will  when I am old and gray and can barely hear, I will magically find everyone who still criticizes Yuzu and talk their ears off screechy old grandma voice style, poke them with my walking stick and throw my plastic teeth at them. I know I will

:agree: me too with Plushenko  they deserve it!

I know some of you are expecting a 4A or a quint... but my prediction is a 4T+4T and I am calling it now.
