Anyway, the seiyuu for Yuuri Toyonaga Toshiyuki had this to say: "Although Yuuri is supported by a lot of people, when he is on stage, he is alone." and he was found crying several times, during the recording for the anime. I guess this does signal we'll get our proper plot/angst, much like expected and it won't be just comedy.
 
But wouldn't all quads stringed together require the skater to change the direction he rotates in? (or a lot of 1/2 Lo's?) Not that I'd mind, would be cool :laugh:

Something like: 4A (CCW) - 4Lz (CW) - 1/2 Lo (lol) - 4F (CCW) - 4S (CW) - 4Lo - 4T ?
I'm sure I messed up somewhere in between... :laugh:

And for drama points, it wouldn't count, because of zayak :laugh2:

Ooh ooh wait, that's actually perfection. The Zayak I mean! He does all of that and then bam, no go, and see, we're not THAT unrealistic? :laugh:

(it totally goes with the ending of Free! I mentioned, where they win the relay and then get ... disqualified!)

Ahem. Well. Ok, see it's about "kabedon". It's something that popped up first a while back in shoujo manga and is basically a way to express romantic interest. What you do is, you corner your crush against the wall and your hand, or both of them, slam next to their heads usually against the said wall. Kabe being wall and don is the sound of the thud. The thing spread all over and it got pretty far all over Asia and different media. So that's why those images of Plushy :laugh:

Finally had a moment to sit down and watch the first episode. It intrigued me enough that I'll be watching the next one, at least.

There was a shot - a moment - of Viktor and the Russian Yuri, and it reminded me so much of Plushy and Artur...

Also, Yuuri is fifty kinds of adorable and very relatable.

By the way, that second tweet, this one, any idea about that way at the bottom? Took me forever to realize that's English in Cyrillic but that's paraphrasing that interview where Plushy said "I might have been his hero, but now, he’s become my hero.” right?

Nowhere! The OP is out as it is only a digital release, but the ED is being released as a proper single, so physical copies too. We have to wait for Nov 23rd unfortunately.

It's because "yuri" is a genre actually, meaning lesbian content in anime/manga so some read that as Lesbians on Ice :laugh: That'll teach them about not reading the summary! The other way is "yaoi" btw, so romantic or sexual relationship between males. There's a milder set of terms too, for non-explicit content, which is shoujo-ai for girls and shounen-ai for guys.

aw I hope u dont mind me throwing array of stupid questions your way:hopelessness::biggrin: yeah i gathered what yaoi means already lol:laugh:
haha u never know there may be some lesbian skaters along the way (tho i pretty much dont care about orientation & sometimes its even too annoying when too uch attention is paid to that)
Im still sad that we saw no female skaters or pairs/dance

The main character see,s to change age every shot. One shot he looks 22, the next he looks 14, and then the next he looks 30. It is really inconsistant.

Sam thing goes for his weight. He is supposed to be a little bit pudgey but then he looks thin as a rake next shot. It is just lacking constistancy, which is always really worrying.

started watching Haikyuu b/c its so praised on the net & it was a bit boring to me for some reason.
Maybe I wanted some romance + seems to concentrate too much tech details of volleyball+only 1 female (tho funny how she's all speechless most of the time & they all fawn over her when she just passes by:laugh:)

I’ve gotten so many comments from people letting me know they’re watching Yuri!!! On Ice from their family home, which makes me really happy. But…I plotted this show without actually considering people might watch it with their families…Is that really wise? (Thinking back on it) I…I think it should be…okay…probably…

I just watch first episode and second episode preview and I am surprise that actually it is R-yuri not J- Yuri who has Yuzuru's movement (the way he lands jump) and some trail of his competitiveness as well:p

J-yuri looks like Yuzuru but I think his story is more similar to Machida.

Even his looks are more like Machida. Or Daisuke Takahashi. Yuzuru is, well, much longer everywhere. And his face is more triangular and, idk, androgynous. It's rare that a real life person's face is more androgynous than an anime character's so I assume that Yuzuru was not the model. :biggrin: If he were, we would notice it straight away.
