Tbh I'm kinda glad he didn't land the 4Lo here at SC. It lessens the pressure for NHK (you know unless he pulls a NHK 2015 on us...) and hopefully GPF.

But the 4S-3T is a problem :drama: he hasn't landed it once in comp ever since he attempted it at Worlds...

Polish comentators compare Yuzu and Patrick (after Patrick's performance)

:laugh2:

I guess these two guys have never seen Yuzu's rock exhibitions.

ETA: and these are different comentators than the Polish Eurosport uncles, looks like Yuzu can wrench a lyrical description even from tech-oriented commentators.

hi, it's been so tough to catch up with you guys. This thread is going crazy this time (as always or more.)
Affected by these three days of seriously sleepless status, some irregular neuro-sparks occurred in my brain and broke some limiters of imajination.
Then this post from Moria Polonius caught my eyes abruptly.
My brain immediately started an imaginary game, ignoring my wish to take a nap.
I put Yuzuru's swan costume on Patric first, and giggled. Then I put it on Mura-kun, giggled, put it on Shoma, on Jason, Kevin, Misha, Voronov, Plushenko, Lambiel, Jeff, Candeloro, Stojko........(BOrser)........Finally, I made up a troop of "Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo on Ice". I've not been able to stop giggling for a few hours and got more tired.
Now I want to sell the whole set of these masculine ballet skaters to someone else, kick them out of my head and want to get a peaceful sleep tonight.
I swear I don't have any intention to look down nor mock any skaters. Those have been all my favorites in my career as a figure skating fan. They're too masculin to wear Yuzu's costumes. Maybe, only Johnny and Yuzu are allowed to wear this swan costume among current skaters.
Contrary, I really can't accept Yuzu's military hair-cut.
Yuzuru, please, please don't shave any part of your head like Patric. You need bangs and a certain length of hair!

Awww, how nice of him to choose from her cd. Always so respectful. David did a wonderful job with this one. I would love to hear his thoughts on doing work with yuzu again. I could watch this program over and over... wait, I already did that, lol.

Yes!
Shirota-san said in a magazine around summer like that new Ex was truly a promising one. What made me delighted was their work (yuzu and David) was going very well and what’s more David himself was enthusiastic with the work with yuzu for the first time in a while. I want to have David’s words about it.
To see their achievement, we can immidiately see how their collaboration is fulfilled. He surely is one of the candidates of the coreographers in Olympics year.

Eurosport just showed skate canada recap and Italian Commentator Angelo Dolfini added his two cents at competition results, saying after the end of men FP:

Now that we have seen both, after watching Patrick's FP, one can't remain but perplexed at how Patrick managed to stay ahead of Hanyu

Not only you, Angelo. Not only you.

But speaking of Yuzuru alone, Angelo and Massimiliano both are very impressed by his FP. Massimiliano, commenting it live yesterday on an italian group, said for him this program is better than Seimei.

I can only hope we'll manage to see Yuzu to skate it clean, the moment it happens it will be glorious.

well polish tvp commentator throwed some shadow at result too by saying he don't fully understand this scores, didn't said anything straight forward but just added "remember, we are in Canada" ;)

Did they show the ex too?
I hope someone will upload it to DM or YT. I don't understand Italian but they have similar words to english and spanish so I can kind of get the gist of what they are saying. haha.

They robbed him last year in LP too , remember last year GOEs, and this time they did the same, maybe even worse..
but we all know when Yuzuru gets silver at SC what usually happens later..

AGAIN this ex is the masterpiece, I love every second of it :sad46:

I'll try to see if I manage to save both ex and today comments on my pc and uploade them. Or we can hope Elena here http://www.dailymotion.com/elechicca put them up on her channel :)

Well to be fair last year his jumps were shaky, but this year they were pure with just slight little shake on 4T landing but still it was great

SP impact..he gave them reason in sp and they were eager to underscore later.. so they did their best to rob him :palmf: also besides 1 fall 2 shaky jumps, that stumble on final spin had affect on pcs as well, I believe

Agree!
in the EX, the flow from the delayed 1A to 3A is just amazing! he changes even jumps, which are sometimes thought to be opposite concept of artistry, to the great work of art. A fan referes to Robin Cousins, who once did open axcel to 2A. His axcel staying in the air long was beautiful. She’d thought yuzu could do delayed 1A to 3A. Finally, he did.

Further, i find this vocal is the best of best. it's increasing the sales in japan sharply and already won the top.https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/movers-and-shakers/dmusic/?tag=a8-affi-207590-22  Further, they tweeted about it.

That II Vollo account is a fanaccount, their oficial twitter is: https://mobile.twitter.com/ilvolo

But amazing chart effect indeed.

Well, tbh a lot of the GOE given on his jumps at this year's SC are questionable. Not just his 3As and 4S (J9 gave him 0 GOE for 4S lol what kind of drunk). His 3F also got a few 0 GOE and I was like, what? :scratch2: It is just baffling. So it is pretty obvious to me he got underscored a bit and perhaps could have been given 3-5 points more, but that is pretty much the difference between 1st and 2nd. Honestly, at the same time, I think Yuzuru would not want to win SC this way either. So from what I see he is pretty content with his 2nd place. I don't know, just my impression, his overall reaction just seems more positive now than how he was at SC last year.

This twitter has the video of woman free of worlds 2016, where Tarasowa seemed to talk about him (and the CD of his ex?).

Further she wrote down the text for translation.

Would someone please tell me what’s she’s saying about him?

First part is about Javier and his preparation for Boston, then she says:
"I was sitting having rest from endless TV live streaming when Yuzuru came to me he kneel down and apologized , I am not his coach but it doesn't matter, I am his fan and he is perfectly aware of this. I even brought music for him , maybe one day.. maybe one day.." Grishin - "apologized for what? for disappointment? (not making your hopes?) " Tat: "yes, but it doesn't matter , this is not end of the world".

*sobs quietly in the corner*
Make it happen madame, don't dream of it! He totally would, you just have to ask.

And that story still tugs at my heart strings, that was probably the worst after Boston. It's so good to see him in much better spirits and fighting again!

Can't wait to hear Tarasova's comments about his Swan EX :hap10: Maybe she'll mention something during COR translation this weekend. I'm sure she will be very proud!

First part is about Javi how he managed to win and that he approached TAT and said like all men do- that everything fell into place, in the right time- all of his efforts and hardwork paid off.
"TAT: Yuzu also had approched me. I've been sitting there trying to relax and unwind in between our multiple broadcasts. I've been having my rest and he approached and... he just came to me, kneeled down on the floor and said: "Forgive me" (you can say "I am sorry" here but the meaning would be slightly different, I think he did a dogeza poze. Is it called like this in Japanese?) I am not his coach but anyways I am huge fan of his and he sure knows that. And that was it, I even brought a music for him here (to Boston) so who knows, maybe, maybe... Grishin (male commentator): He was sorry for what? That he did not meet your expectations? TAT: Yes. Well. No big deal, really. Not the end of the world."
