I think it's very doable as a SP especially if he gets the choreography down now and is used to it. When he's at 'le stelle in cielo brillano per noi', he can put the first jumping pass and two at the other half of the program.
I am biased, but I think he has improved further in upper body and arms, and arms are so very important for a choreography like this. I don't think it's wise to go into it if the skater cannot pull it off properly because the onus is on the skater, not the music, to carry the viewers, and judges, through program. The music is only supporting him and lifting him up for us to see, so as a skater he'd be very exposed, the focus solely on him. There are moments where it really got me paying attention. At 'accanto a te sarò' spin his arms are flowing, soft wrist, beautiful fingers, just wonderful, then at position change, wing like, as well as 'tu mi ami già' when he's moving backwards in a sit, though I've seen an even better instance of this at practice and at the last 'già' spin at the very end. His arms are still a bit too loose, or flaily, at some moments but he's improved a lot. This would be a very difficult program but my, what an SP program it would be, for the Olympics.
