No chance... actually Mai's PCS is actually rather generous i thought for a newbie, she is from Japan afterall, consider Zijun only received 58 skating at home, and Karen received 61 here.

Well, Mai was considerably faster than Zijun and that counts in PCS, right? Karen would have higher I guess, if she had skated in second group...

Well it took the Shibs a few tries. And honestly the Cup of Calamity had gotten them BAD back in 2011 when they were beaten handily by a team (Bobrova/Soloveiv) they beat at Worlds earlier in the year and I saw that as the start of their downward spiral....So honestly, them winning here has some amazing redemptive qualities.

Why "juniorish" ? I don't get it. Because she is not skating to tango or turandot? Or because she enjoys her skating? Or because her dress is green and not black or red?

Kaetlyn and Mai both of their FS were not clean at the SC.
They fought hard to the end.. and I know they did their best...

but I am a little disappointed..

Mai took the bronze at Skate Am. She did great on both of her programs there. I hope she has a great future. She seems like a cute kid!
