I don't think his change of layout is related to Boyang. He was already doing 3lz as the 2nd last jump at national. In previous competitions this season, 3lz was his last jump in the LP. I think he was already planning this before national. He is using 4cc to test a new layout. The new layout is probably the layout for the Olympic season. I just hope this doesn't result in bombing.

Well the natural progression would be the 3A combo after he achieved the 5 quad and one 3A programme.

Maybe trying to rattle everyone. Yuzu and Javi both have swapped leads most of the quad. Shoma's been flying up the ranks as well.

It concerns me as well. He had said he was going to try it in earlier PR. Then again he also has only been off the walking boot for about a week leading up to 4CC and was trying quads only days before he left for 4CC... It may just not have been ready for very human reasons.

Beautiful skating from Misha! He seems rather muted though. I realize he's skating to a quieter classical piece, but he usually injects his skating with such passion.
