Hi, I'm a huge fan of Deniss, have only started watching FS recently but he blew me away at Europeans and I've been following him since. Has anyone seen him in Helsinki at all? I know he doesn't have to worry about jetlag because he's relatively close by but the SP is only two days away.

I'm watching the men's draw and Deniss is there...we can relax a bit He drew #19. I guess the men's practices are going to be streamed from today, although I have not looked at the schedule...too many things going on right now!

What a beautiful photo. I don't see a coach and a pupil there, I see a team!
I think Deniss is one of the few skaters that absolutely everyone is rooting for. Can't wait to see his performance tomorrow.

Glad to see them smiling in Helsinki! I'm so excited/nervous for tomorrow (especially after my other favs, James/Cipres had a rough sp).

Deniss just finished his SP practice... He sadly didn't​ do any jumps :'( but he looked great in his run-through, and as I said, he visibly grew taller!

btw, are those 360° practice livestreams working for anyone? It didn't work for me on the YT app...

He's definitely taller, his legs are so long and beautiful

YES YES YES That was great! First standing O of the day, PB, highest PCS of the day so far! And they were just adorable in the kiss and cry. Iguanas? Sure!

Such an all around well skated event with so many outstanding performances today and Deniss' was clearly one of them in spite of not being one of the biggest guns with the highest tech content yet!

That was a very well deserved standing ovation indeed! I'm sure this will give him a lot of confidence for Saturday. I envy everyone, who got to experience the comp live in the arena. The atmosphere must have been incredible! :yay:

I'm really thankful that he hasn't tried any quads yet. There's so much drama and unhealthy competition going on right now about jumps that I'm actually happy that he's not a part of it. However, once he starts adding quads he'll be a real threat to those in the top places

Sorry but what did he and Stéphane said about the lizard? I only heard washing machine and I didn't get what he meant lol (also will the lizard be a recurring thing from now on? )

And after the competition he got the 10th place to skate the FP on Saturday so... 2 hours of sleep, we'll meet again.

Congrats to Deniss!!!!! I absolutely love his SP, and I'm so glad he did well today. It was my favorite performance of the day! Wishing him the best of luck on Saturday.
