2017 Ondrej Nepela Trophy Ladies FS

This program is such a great vehicle for Rika, I hope that the stars somehow align and she makes it to the Olympics, but it's doubtful, the competition in Japan is sooooo stiff :sad21: Anyway, great performance today, hopefully it'll improve even more as the season goes on! :luv17:

One small mistake, but still gold will be hers easily

FS: 72.88+72.84 = 146.72, 226.72, 1/22

That one girl screaming at the end

Anyway, somewhat shaky landing in the 2nd half.

Love Med as a competitor and someone who delivers, but hate the composition of that program. The backloading is too much.

Ah, Zhenya is amazing! The dress and the hairpiece are absolutely stunning. And the skating - this program is so hard and she makes it look so easy, like anyone could do it. She truly is a champion. :luv17:

Gorgeous Zhenya in a gorgeous dress in a lovely program. I'm still weary on a couple of music cuts but I liked this more here than at the test skates so I know I'll love it by the end.

Wow... I loved the dress!!! And the hair thing. Very beautiful!
I liked her FS way better than her short. Nice transitions and surprisingly not that boring, although it feels like every other program from her. But this one I specially love the opening and the end.
Her jump combinations as always, very muscled. But sigh.

My goodness, that is absolutely exquisite. And thank all the merciful skategods - no voiceovers, no breaths, no ridiculousness, just the pure beauty of Evgenia skating to beauitful music.

Solid season debut by Medvedeva. It can benefit from expression variance in response to different music segments, music should not be just backdrops for movements with no intellectional or emotional resonance, but these are undervalued in COP anyway. I even like the music edit. Not sure what happened in the end, except may be her soul flew off again and then suddenly came back again?

I do like her dress, which is blingy but tasteful. And she does have a really fascinating position right before she pulls up into the Bielmann.

I'm sure there's some very involved complicated 'narrative' to that which went completely over my head. I thought the ending was pushing the artiness into the red.

Why did she looked shocked with her score?
I'll wait for the protocols but I think she had some URs. '-'

I think this is going to be my favourite of Medvedeva's programs so far, so I'm glad she chose this as her Olympic program. But I think it's because I adore The Leftovers and the Soundtrack. I don't get what she's trying to sell here. Has it any connection to The Leftovers? The themes about beliefs and faith? Is there any interview she mentioned why this music?

Ignore the 'narrative'. It's Averbukh. I am sure someone died, came back, then was catapulted into the Sun to be reborn as a Phoenix this time around to add on to the SP. It's so much better not to pay attention to him

I want to see that hair bling better, looks amazing.
