Thanks to the top 3 for saving this event. Bummed to see Ashley not in the final group, but placements seem all fair to me.

I like Kaetlyn, I do, so I hate to throw shade and people are going to be mad at me for this but......we get it. She's AMAZING at this ONE program. I have stopped being impressed.

Also, I LOVE this costume to pieces, but she needs a new one for the Olympics.

She deserves to be in first, it was the best of the night. Would have loved to seen how they would have scored her with mistakes tho, it was a pretty tough panel. Ashley missing the last group by .7 points OMG UGHH. She performed better then Karen, they should be switched. heres hoping she gives solid jumps tomorrow!!!

I love this short from Kaetlyn. I would've given her a bigger score. But overall I think this scoring was more than just fair.

I don't get why anyone would gripe on Courtney's placement. She's certainly not my favorite but s6.he was by far the best of the Americans in the SP here. Her rank (so far) is deserved.

No one should! Courtney went out did a good job! She should be commended not derided. She's worked really hard on that combs and her presentation. She wasn't scheduled for any GP until a few weeks ago. So I think this was a fantastic SP and hope she can build on it.

It is unfortunate but nowadays Olympics seem to be all about playing it safe and picking a program that's proven to work for you rather than having a truly special program for the olympics themselves. I have a lot of respect for skaters who are not repeating programs this season.

Well, I certainly didn't expect Courtney to be the top American or for Marin Honda to be in 10th place. Guess that is what keeps skating interesting.

Kaetlyn's SP is a repeat, so there is no reason to bomb it since it had success last season and the reason to ditch her new sp she had in the summer is that this one works for her. Her Black Swan LP though, is still work in progress.
We will probably see two Black Swan back to back from Kaetlyn and Anna. As long as Anna is on the podium, I am happy.

She lost a lot of points on her combo and spins. I'm not sure what happened... the combo looked good in practice...

really eager to see the protocols!! the tech panel was crazy strict today, but it was refreshing to see this type of scoring rather than everyone getting their SBs with URs and edge calls..

Actually helps everyone to really see where they stand and to adjust their training accordingly. Quite a bunch up in the middle. We will see how it shakes out in the free skate.
