2017 GP NHK Mens FS

This is the first GPF this year where all 3 medallist has no 4Lz, 4F or 4Lo.

Rippon attempted the 4Lz. Landed very forward but was only given < by the TP.

Missing the SkCan panel right now.

And to add on, probably the last one to be so. Like the last bus to leave Baghdad.

Such a beautiful podium.
Kolyada winning European is not a done deal as yet.

Yeah, that's why I put no 4Lz. It has a carrot.

I never re-watched a victory ceremony before. i've got a feeling, I might do this now!

What an event! Ksenia, Fedor, Sergei. I'll go and buy some beers now. I sooooo feel like celebrating. :cheer:

As if the clapping on point weren't enough, these Japanese fans are incredible! :hap10:

Thanks again for the stream, YouTube-san.

So cute, did Adam just motion Sergei to follow him off the victory stand because the host said in English time for the victory lap and Sergei had said in his interview he is not so fluent in English? Glad to see so much comradery :luv17:

Totally unpredictable podium and it hurts not to see Yuzuru there.

But congrats to all the medalists.

And thank you Alexei for bringing some hope back to Israel figure skating! :agree:

OMG, this was the best victory ceremony ever. I'm so happy for Sergei, winning his first grand prix gold at 30. Honestly, this podium was so refreshing. It's so good to see old guns on the podium.

I'm a die-hard Yuzu fan but by no means I like to think it wouldn't be like this had Yuzu competed. Of course it wouldn't but this is it and the podium finishers earned it. I'm so happy for them. Go all the way to GPF Sergei :cheer:

Protocols up.

Oh come on, tech panel. Rippon landed forward on the 4Lz attempt.

Nope. Adam did not land forward. Maybe that's just the eyes that you always see Adam with.

And, I just remembered that Sergei's next assignment is SA which I will watch live. It's so exciting to see in person if he is going to get that spot in GPF. I watched him last year in SA and talked a bit to him. To my surprise he was short and very shy

Voronov with 86 PCS. Kolyada nearly 90 with multiple falls. What is going on ?

I am perplexed myself. All due to them both for fantastic jumps. And Mikhail has emerging artistry. But for Sergei to surpass Adam Rippon in artistry at the NHK FS is ludicrous. Is there some course the ISF can give judges to teach them the difference between landing a jump and truly demonstrating excellent performance and expression?

I'm jealous, Farnaz :p
I hope he will skate well and you'll be able to congratulate him.

You mean middle-aged men's event.
Harsh and possibly smug. Guess you are confident you don't work in an industry where you can be replaced with younger, lower payed contractors before you pay off your student loans.
