Well, both represented Team Russia. as the Russian No 2. and No. 3, at Worlds only a few months ago, ...lest we forget! And going into their first GP of the season at Skate Canada, there was a promise of hope. BTW, how many of you picked Anna P. to finish 9th? Lets make this simple, 0. However, some here like to deny these events as per their predictions and their past love of Russian skaters, never happened, which to me is beyond... Yes, I have been since 2013. and will always be, Osmond4gold.

The conversation originally was about "absence of a clear winner in skate canada", but there was a clear winner with no doubt at all, and i think you can hardly find anyone who wouldn't predicted Osmond's first place there.

It should be fun to watch because Kaetlyn and Alina are probably 2 of the main contenders who can compete with Med, so we'll see here which way the judges are leaning....

Zhenya's average total score is 227 (averaged from multiple events), and Alina and Kaetlyn's is mid 216 and 215 respectively. A gap of at least 10 points if everyone is skating clean. Numbers taken from this site http://skatingscores.com/ladies/

So I'd say they can compete with Zhenya, but only if she has mistakes in both sp and lp, and those mistakes would have to be more than just a single shaky landing, but multiple falls or neg GOE on elements etc.
