- is how intergated the program is in every area, the fow of it, effortless feel and making things easy looking still gaining their difficulty. All done wth such panche and smile - Kaetlyn really felt so relaxed and enjoying herself, yet so much in control over every aspect of her performance. What's very important for me is that she seemed so engrossed into music, into moment and into presenting the program - the engagement and this ;forward' focus on interaction, emoting, interpretation not only of the music/theme chosen, but also of the choreography and the design of movement. The program felt alive and complete - thank You, Kaetlyn, for bringing a piece of Parisian elegance and 'je ne sais quoi' feel to me!had plan to post it in general Ladies SP GPF thread, but the discussion got onto 'cheaters' subject, I thought it would be for the best to show my appreciation here for Kaetlyn who did make herself and us the best birthday present ever by that SP performance
I spoke many times that this is an amazing program itself, sourcing from Kaetlyn's best performer abilities, powerful outlook and maturity in elements' integration she already has on a very high level, but today I somehow noticed how intricate and musical it is - not only in 'general' sense about using chansons of Edith Piaf and making it flow with the choreography overall, but in every little detail/transition shown. I noticed how perfect and fluid was her rhythmic/lyrics' accentuation throughout the whole performance, for example: movement and hands' gesture at 'sous le ciel du Paris' moment, transition into first spin (the pointing 'peuple' by movement was sick) and hand phrasing along with melody/lyrics during the spin itself, whole transitions leading to solo jump (control over upper body part was especially remarkable), pacing on the step sequence with such nice and polished contrasting showy/quick part and slower one, then the quick change of the tempo at the end so amazingly reflected in her powerful entrance to the spin...I could name it even longer.
The thing that really popped this time for me - as you can guess based on above- is how intergated the program is in every area, the fow of it, effortless feel and making things easy looking still gaining their difficulty. The program felt alive and complete - thank You, Kaetlyn, for bringing a piece of Parisian elegance and 'je ne sais quoi' feel to me!
Always so well written and wise beyond your years. Thank you, NoNameFace!

I really hope at least some of us can come together and show Kaetlyn in person our support next Saturday please! Raise her spirits before the Olympics!
The fact I have a special present for her and another for her coach Ravi coming just in time might have something to do with it... and since I don't know if Kaetlyn herself reads the forums not giving away too many hints. I want it to be a surprise as loud and sweet as Abbotsford!
I was going to my seat on Friday and had to cut through a couple of open areas to get to my section of the arena. There were a lot of people and cameras and I wondered what was going on. I turned around to see Kaetlyn stretching by a wall, with Ravi by her side. She had her headphones on so I couldn't tell her I was a fan! Still, I thought I had wandered into a "no-go" area by accident! Also, Gabby and Larkyn and a few other ladies were all there, warming up!
Rest assured you didn't wander into a no-go area. I had the privilege of being there Saturday overlooking the kiss-n-cry area and giving the comeback kid a high five as Kaetlyn headed down to suit up and comeback to win the silver.
With the Games now just four weeks off, Osmond will return to Edmonton to try to work out the glitches that surfaced in both her short and long programs at the Canadian championships this past weekend.
“It will be just more repetition (skating the programs), more focus on each element just to get clean programs done so I can skate great there,” Osmond said.
Her long-time coach Ravi Walia noted, “I think Kaetlyn is on the right track. There’s a couple of adjustments that need to be made, but she is definitely ready to succeed at the Olympics. Looking at her personality, she’s a pretty easy-going, low-stress person. She loves the pressure and excitement of competition and she’ll be prepared.
“We want to peak at the Olympics, and I think she’s on track for that.”
. . .
“The last few years, I’ve noticed Canadian ladies are willing to risk more (difficult jumps) to fight and be medal contenders. We’re not just competing to be the best in Canada, we’re now competing to be the best in the world.”
