2018 US Championships Sr Men FS

Oh, honey. :console: You think you have issues with your favourite sports team? Did I ever tell you I’m a Toronto Maple Leafs fan? :( Its been 51 years....

Or how about none of the four big sports in DC making it to the conference finals since 1998. Caps been around since 1974 and never won a cup...

This Olympic season has been so wild since before it even started. Honestly can't wait for it to be over so we can begin the next mess of a season. :slink:

ITA...Honestly I'm just not a fan of the Winter Olympics...never works out for me...had to finally realize that it's just not my thing.

Going to be peltered for this but:
There was 0.68 difference between Ross and Vincent. Ross had two uncalled UR (4S and 3A). So...

Where's Ashley? She complained about UR calls being not consistent across the board.

Yes. This the worst management of a world class athlete I can remember, barring those who fed their athletes drugs.
Really angry about how they've managed Laurine this season as well. What's up with them?
Like a broke down Team Tutberidze

How much does the team event factor into this decision? I doubt TPTB want Nathan skating both sections of the team event. Given Rippon, Miner, and Zhou, one of them is likely to get one program. Which one gets it?

Just a personal sidenote: I think it speaks for you that it has been 51 years and you are still a fan. Too many success fans running around in sports these days.

The Leafs are a cult which you are indoctrinated into so that they can consistently make some of the most money while delivering the above (says I, a member of said cult).

If both Ashley and Adam are left out of the team I guess they will organize a protest march to USFSA headquarters. USFSA will fear the bad PR, so it will probably not happen.

Why stop at USFSA?! Take that March to the White House!

Nathan will skate the short, someone else the long. That much I'm pretty confident about.

Right. I don't see these 5 quad guys still competing at the top level at age 28, like Adam. The ISU really needs to change the rules to limit the number of quads.

I’m not even certain most athletes still want to be competing at 28. Maybe some people wanna hit big and bounce to something new before they turn 21. I see nothing wrong with that. It’s a big world full of opportunity.

I'd be so pissed, I'd pull an Ashleyx10. If winning SILVER doesn't get you a spot in a country where they have THREE, I'd say "F the fed, I'm going to town in the media" :angry1:

He won silver at one competition. This is where I think USFSA went wrong putting the focus on nationals after all these years. Now people can't come off of it. It shouldn't and never should have EVER been about one competition. Maybe that slid back in the 90s when there were no triple triples, quads, and the field wasn't nearly this deep (7-8 men/women competitive for these spots), but not anymore.

Then what would you do next month? You not joining us eating snacks and watching Olympics on questionable-legality streams and argue with each other later on in the comments? What better things you need to do in life? Come and join us.

They did not stiff Polina 4 years ago, though. Miner is in the exact position as her, 2nd place with not much international recognition.

But the difference is that Polina was a young and exciting new up-and-comer with a lot of potential. Ross is hardly in the same situation. If anything, I think Vincent's position is more similar to Polina's.

I suppose. Maybe if Ovechkin would fix his teeth and stop getting the PeeWee Herman haircut, they’d stand a chance.

I mean, the Cubs won the world series after 108 years, maybe we can still have hope for our favourite losers too.
