A few things from recent days:
Javi's athlete profile page is available on the official Olympics website. It's quite long! But I'm sure the 70kg for weight is incorrect. I mean, just look at the size of the guy! He's tiny in every dimension!I think I saw 63kg a few years ago, and he actually looks skinnier these days.
I’m with DelRetiro in this. It’s clear that the data is not accurate in many cases but I think something near 70kg. could be real.
I remember reading an interview with Javi, maybe a two or three of years ago, where he said that he was doing his strength training on the ice, because they didn’t want to increase his muscle mass. But, for the last couple of years, he has been showing pictures of his weight training off the ice; I guess he needs to strength his muscles in order to protect his bone structure from the impact of the jumps (at 26 he’s aging, you know
) and that might be the reason for the increase in his weight, without gaining volume, and one of the causes for his issues with stamina in the FP.I have a personal story about real vs perceived weight. A few years ago, I had a female gym coach who was the same height than me (1.60m). I was fit by then but nothing near her, she had a beautiful body, her legs, arms and core were rock solid without being bulky, she was a couple of sizes thinner than me and she weighted a couples of kilos more than me: my best guess was that she was around 50kg but her real weight was 60kg!
I think I saw 63kg a few years ago, and he actually looks skinnier these days.

And to top it off, artist Phil Galloway has created illustrations for the article!!! There is a La Mancha themed one with Javi as Don Quijote, and there is also a Star Wars one with Javi and Yuzu doing lightsabre fight :eeking:, and a third is a collection of sketches of Javi's Modern Times program! :luv17:
) - he has stood in front of me on level ground at an arm's length twice and we are about the same height (and I am 170 cm).
