Yea that’s the tie breaker scenario. It’s what OAR would need just to make it to a tie breaker situation with Canada.

We are just hypothesizing what “could” happen. And what would break the tie.

I’m not 100% sure how ties are broken but OAR could still catch up. If V/M get 10, B/S get 8 and Gabby/Patrick/Keegan come last and Kolyada/Aliev place first they end up in a tie.

With Alina, Caro, Kaori, and Tennell/Mirai all being able to beat Gabby. And who knows with the men it’s not out of the realm of possibility.

Start list for pairs was up some twenty minutes before the competition began, so idk how much time before they had sent the confirmation.

My understanding is that you aggregate the points across each discipline.

OAR: 20 (Ladies)+18 (Pairs)
CAN: 20 (Dance)+19 (Pairs)

Edit: the technical language is actually a little unclear what is meant precisely though.
