I never criticized any scoring before and I will not again in the future, but I cannot help thinking why judges are so determined to secure a Gold for Canada when without their help, Canada is likely to get it. I love P but it was not his day. I like K but it was not a combo prescribed for SD.

If Zagitova gets first, and Carolina 2nd, and the Shibs 2nd (With Virtue and Moir in 1st), then yes USA will get bronze. By one point.

Nail biter between Italy/US now. Italy got exactly what they needed, with a great skate from Rizzo and possibly help from Japan. Carolina can easily overtake a 2 point lead.

In a move of treason, I'm rooting for an Italian upset. What an Olympic that would be for them :dev3:

And that's exactly what was done. As much as I love figure skating, I'm done with it now. He should NOT be in first place and the judges and presenters should be ashamed of themselves for this BS.

Haha Kurt Browning "It's looking good" Hahaha It's a lock! Tessa and Scott will have to be literally last place for Canada to lose this. Sorry guys, I got pretty drunk in advance of this event, the stress was eating me alive.

Didn't know someone was feeling the team event that much. I've always thought it's a subpar competition, maybe even less hyped than World Team Trophy.

I'm not so sure it's just that. I think the current politicking is headed towards B/S>Shibs for the individual event. I'm not sure if the judges make that move in the team event or just keep them very close and wait

I still love watching figure skating, but I think the scoring is a mess.

Carolina can do 3 triples and still have HUGE PCS to keep her in 2nd and I don't know how I feel about that. Does she have gorgeous edges and skating? Yes. Did we just see lovely skating (idk about Adam's edges) lose out to sloppy but technically "superior" programs (particularly Kolyada's)? Yes.

I can't believe I also forgot to mention but did we not just see Ondrej and Valentina skate a LOVELY program to Amarcord as well? I actually think there are quite a few great Nino Rota based programs!!!!

Not really. Some old houses have it, but you have dig far too deep for it to matter. Also risk of flooding.

Well, not sure about smart - imagine if, lets say, VM have an injury here.

As for russia, there is a Moser interview: "we are here out of duty doing our job, but there is no enjoyment".

I have class in 5 hours, the things I'll do for figure skating... thankfully I got to sleep a couple of hours before
it's a 3 a.m. snack for me...

I have a trip in 5 hours —to sharpen my skates in a foreign country with an absolutely terrible language known as German . Around 3 or 4hours trip to go and who knows how/when will I be able to get back
Y'know my family is starting to tell me I may or may not be a bit crazy about skating.
I may take a midnight snack as well...
