Well the distance between 3rd and 1st is quite high. They will need to be perfect and the top 2 bomb to get higher.

IMHO, in the short program T/M are much closer to S/H (and I say that as a S/H fan). T/M really suit this program and they perform it well.

Now the free is a different story but we aren't there yet.

Let the best teams medal tomorrow.

Classical/romantic era music suit Tarasova and Morozov so well, don't know what their team was thinking w their free program, as it could be a disadvantage for them no matter how well they skate it. But that was an exciting sp competition, so glad the teams brought it, and nice to see so many sbs landed!

They also asked Bruno how the mistake happpened and he said he didn't feel strong enough for a triple, and hopefully it'll be better tomorrow.

That might've been the greatest pair short program event I've ever seen. Kudos. More events like this please.

The cleanliness of the event must be unprecedented. When was the last time you saw an event where a slight touch down on the throw and everything else perfect lands a pair in 12th (Seguin/Bilodeau)? Amazing. (I love this pair and hope they can pull into the top 10 in the free.)

So thrilled with Sui/Han. Magic! I have everything crossed that they can repeat such a performance tomorrow in the LP. And I'd love to see D/R win that individual Olympic medal.

Funny thing is that their FP won't be a disadvantage for them. Judges like it for some reason.

I'm not sure you can even argue for higher pcs for T/M over D/R. The music and choreo is way better to begin with and they actually seem interested in interpreting the music. Definitely ss to T/M, but the rest...this isn't the aesthetically pleasing back and lines score, it's the program component scores.
