The way things are going Aliona may end up skating as long as the Protopopovs (long into her 70s) in pursuit of that gold 
It seems her only option is to clone herself and have herself chronologically frozen. Once the clone comes of age she can unfreeze herself and then force her clone to have a sex change so they can pair up! Or perhaps same sex pairings will be allowed by then

The potential gap between the couples is higher in the FS. Vanessa/Morgan don't seem calm in the SP, i don't think they can fight for the podium.
Aljona/Bruno can still regain, but now Sui/Han have a great chance for the gold.
My hopes for the two italian pairs are to place them both in the first ten positions. The sixth place for at least one of them may be the best.

Well, but we already saw the program, many times - and despite having clean elements, in my opinion while the sole idea of a dynamic program is great, how it turned out is simply below Evgenia and Vladimir's skills level. The wholesome is somehow tacky, unpolished in choreo/interpretation/musical sense, very accidentally looking in terms of performance, powering through with very little consideration of what is happening with music. And yellow polka dot costumes...
, please they must win this.

She, as some poster already said, didn't look all that mad, just really disappointed. She was short in her answers but she often is since she sometimes still struggles with the German words for something. The commentator guy actually said in a throw-away line that Bruno seemed like he was probably going to chuck his skates through the dressing room.

I mean I get that this is pairs but it bothers me that Aliona's partners always screw up and she has to pay for it. She should have gone to Russia like Tatiana. That was her mistake.
even with mistakes in everyone's skates that candyman FS should't get enough points to win. should.

I think PCS should just be eliminated at this point. It doesn't have any purpose since it's just a TES+consistency proxy now. The only thing it does now is prop up favorites when they skate poorly - otherwise it doesn't really matter anymore.

God that would be such a great pairs team! Literally, my two favorite skaters and the best performers. Maybe, if Shoma went on an extreme diet and Kostner really started adding muscle they can try this
