You so rarely see a fall in Ice Dance. To have it happen at the Olympics, I'm sure they're shattered over this.

Torino 06 was full of them. It must be absolutely devastating

Thanks guys. He's a family pet, and my dad's an old Nebraskan farmboy who chokes on the idea of spending the much on a pet. Back when he was a kid you just let nature take it's course or put them out of their misery if they were suffering. But as far as I'm concerned, he's a living creature that we agreed to be responsible for and he's not old enough that he can't recover from surgery (only 11 and healthy in every other way). So now I'm going over my finances to see where I can cut cause it'll be easier than arguing with him. I have a good saving I can dip into, but if I can pick up extra clients/bag lunch/mend old clothes rather than replace that'll be better. *Le sigh*

Go for it. My cat Dodger who died about 8 years ago was my best friend and he needed brain surgery because of a brain tumor and I did not hesitate. It was a success and he lived several more years. I did not regret my decision.

God. I never cry over skating but this was going so well and then the error. I'm so hope they'll be ok. This was a gorgeous program.

Chock / Bates

Wonderful Y-spin transition at the start. Beautiful stationary lift with great changes of positions. Nice curve line lift. Stable twizzles with good speed (Level 4). Well-balanced and unfettered circular step. A bit of a slip on the edge on the entry of the spin, but a fall from both of them! Oh no! I don't think the combo spin will count sadly. Great rotational lift with no holds. Wonderful edges in the step sequence (Level 3). And a nice choreo lift with her resting on his shoulder and a good choreo spin, light and airy.

Aw, I feel so bad for Chock and Bates. That darn spin entry had them lose an edge and they both fell on the ice, first real major mistake at the Games so far in the ice dance events. Apart from that, I felt that they were secure and had good edges. They were sensitive and well-timed with their lyrics. So sad that they weren't able to put it other there today. :sad4:
