2018 Junior World Championships Ladies SP

I think the 3Lz was under-rotated. Agree that she was lowballed in the PCS.

The 3Lz also seemed all the way around - I’m so irritated with this - I hate when judges start throwing out URs depending on the history of a skater; don’t need HBP this early in the morning lol

this probbly wont be enough for Guzide to make it to LP but it was fun and clean! well done :yahoo:

Aurora moves well. She's quick and light and looks promising. But I'm worried. I see Alaine Chartrand more than Daleman or Osmond in her, especially in the facial expressions.

youtube stream dead again ? (relink pls in case I'm still trying to watch the old one)
edit: nevermind.

It's... not even Chartrand, I feel. Truly... I don't even know who the promising junior ladies for Canada are. Is there even anyone there to take their place after Daleman and Osmond retire? With a set like Cotop/Chartrand/Austman even getting 2 spots will be a struggle in the future. After such a long tradition of competitive ladies' skaters it's just rather odd - Even USA's juniors seem far more promising to me.

I'm soooo happy, that we have such charming lady. At last. Go Nastia!

You have a real talent with that one! Shame to admit that I do not follow junior circuit closely, but that girl sure has explosiveness and quality of movement written all over her skating. And she really seems to enjoy performing:)

Well, Cotop is young yet. I haven't gone back to review what kind of impression Daleman and Osmond made at this age, but I vaguely recall not thinking much of them at Sochi either-- they were both "late bloomers". Maybe that's just what we should expect from Canadian ladies-- we're probably never going to have Japanese or Russian-style wunderkinds, at least in ladies, but if we just let them grow and develop a little we'll have some contenders. And Daleman and Osmond aren't retiring any time soon.

I have the stream on my other computer but the youtube channel named Olmerizdeila Has a good stream

Right, that's of course me getting quite a bit ahead of myself. It's very possible the Canadian ladies' landscape will be very different in 4 years when the chance of retirement might be in play.

Or maybe no Carmen at all? Then everyone will be happy.

No... Carmen's a great piece for figure skating and has tons of highlights. It's amazing for showing off your musicality and artistic abilities. Just need to pick a version that's not horrible like this one.
