Not a great day for Canada. THe ladies were okay but a bit off. Now this. The Americans had a better day in part as they have lower expectations. Bradie almost made the final group. Mirai is in the top ten okay Mariah didn't do well and the Knerims have moved up from the olympics.

Gabby wasn't off. She was back in fighting form.

Yu/ and ageless wonder number one Zhang - I like Hao Zhang and I think he and Xiaoyu look wonderful skating to ballet. Him all in simple black alongside her as the swan is perfect. She's grace personified on the ice, even if she's a bit predictable to fall.

That's right, I like old man Zhang.
(I actually think the Chinese fed ended up with two even better pairs when they made that switch a few years ago since Peng/Jin are another fav of mine)

I was right now look at the log jam at 71 or even around 70. I think the scores were about 2 pts too high. Someone will get lucky and end in the later skate and someone won't be so lucky. Both Chinese teams are on the cusp of earning three spots. Is it possible that the second american team makes the free skate if one of the final five teams implode or get injured?
