I'm not bashin on Evgenia, but actually the depth required on lutz and flip jumps are different. A true flip can be jumped with only a slight inside edge, which Yuna did, but a true lutz must have a clear and deeper outside edge compared to the flip. Nobody jumps flip with as deep an inside edge as their lutz. It's just in ISU definition
Trying to oppose counter-rotation and jump up? Lutz. Of course, this will need an outside edge, the deeper the better quality.
Trying to minimize pre-rotation with no counter rotation? Flip. This can't have an outside edge deep enough to produce counter-rotation.
You're right that a slight inside edge is a correct Flip. Wish the people who talk about this put some research into it. But all people do is fight about which fandom is more right.
Well that's why Yuna got calls on her flip & stopped using it at some competitions, bc ISU definitions are the ones that matter not what Yuna's fans call a flip
She never stopped using it. But anyway. This is an old fight.
