Just because Eteri went on national TV and explained her side of the story doesn't mean that Evgenia should drop to her level as well. Seems like she believes Eteri is the one who is responsible for her failure at the Olympics when she should be looking at her own jumps....

Eteri group deleted Med’s news since since April. They already knew Med is moving to another coach. Eteri is just trying to paint herself as the victim while she already knew about this.

Julia's situation was totally different. And if we want to be honest Yulia and her mother weren't saints and Eter wasn't evil in that situation.

Well, we can‘t know whether she‘s being classy about this one or not because she‘s not made an official statement yet. She saud she‘ll wait until Monday - and she does it. Eteri says she will not comment for now but after like what two days she blurts out all these things, showing personal messages and talking about private conversations. This is beyond unprofessional, it‘s vile and outright evil. Besides, does she have to drag Alina into this, too? As if the poor girl didn‘t have enough stress with her being in media attention all the time: First people being salty about her win, then the meltdown at Worlds and now this. What use does this have anyway?

Maybe Yulia‘s situation was different. Maybe not. But even if she and her mother „weren‘t saints“ I think it‘s safe to say that Eteri had played a part with her eating disorder. An it‘s not just Yulia. She‘s shamed other skaters who left her too. She dragged Evgenia on the ice when she was falling. She called Alina lazy and childish and said to everyone who wanted to listen that Evgenia was her prime student and oh so very mature and now suddenly she‘s this ungrateful stupid brat who ignores her? Eteri is currently the best coach in ladies‘ single skating, yes. She‘s helped Evgenia to her success, yes. Her methods work and bring results, yes. The medals speak for her, yes. But just remember: just because people have results with what they do doesn‘t really make them good people nor is it a guarantee that their approaches really are right. Eteri is an adult. She should act at least a bit mature, no matter how hurt she is. This is disgusting.

That doesn't correspond with Eteri's messages that show dates in April though? Wasn't her team also preparing programs for Evgenia in April as well? Looks bad on Zhenya to just 'disappear' when the team behind her success was busy planning her programs for next year.

Maybe she was intending to - when she got back from vacation, so she could do it in person. But the director of Sambo-70 leaked the news.
In any case I think it's impossible Eteris own daughter and/or the director knew Evgenia was leaving and Eteri didn't.

Jumps that were teached by Eteri. And you are right, Eteri gave her side of the story, tomorrow is Evgenia's turn.

An emotionally stable adult wouldn't point out unanswered text messages from her unhappy 18 year old student and then drag another teen from her rink into the mess by spouting off what she claims the first girl said at a competition. I don't care if Evgenia is dealing with her post-Olympics soul searching well or if she's having a bit of a teen moment, she's not the professional coach in this situation, she's a young athlete with a ton of emotions to deal with. What's worse is that this isn't the first time a skater has left Eteri's camp on a sour note followed by a public outburst from her.

I now have no faith in Eteri's ability to guide her skaters as they move from child to young adult. She hasn't matured herself yet. I feel bad for everyone involved; Evgenia, Daniil, even Eteri - well, ok not so much her - but especially Alina and the youngsters watching their coach tear into one of their own. Unlike Evgenia, and perhaps Alina though she's still very young since a couple of years mean a lot at that age, they aren't in a position to pick up and run from a rink they and their parents have not-yet-fulfilled hopes and dreams latched to.

Pathetic show from what's supposed to be a grown woman. The whole camp should say bye.

I've always been optimistic when everyone talked about Eteri like she was this evil woman who doesn't care about her skaters and just sucks everything she can from them and then throw them away.
But... Now I'm starting to believe Eteri really is no good... :noshake:

Skaters like Yulia and Zhenya are spoilt kids hit by fame. They want to be their teacher's pet. One and only. Yulia thought Eteri wasn't paying her enough attention as she had another promising skater, Zhenya couldn't handle Alina. Now there are a bunch of them in Eteri's team. Noone ever will get favouritism or special treatment. They have to learn to coexist or leave.
I never thought of Zhenya as a naive girl, I've always felt that she's envious and unkind. Just like her best friend Bobrova.

That is your perception and that does not mean it true.

The fact of the matter is a coach - student relationship can change and there is a point you need to part ways so the student can continue to grow.

Tell me about it. Stuff always seems to get crazy while I sleep.

Some preliminary thoughts:

- I don't believe that Evgenia said that about Alina, or not the way Eteri is depicting it.

- I also don't believe for a second that Eteri didn't know when seemingly everyone else involved did.

That's funny - we'll see who's side the Russian Federation takes. Either the 18 year-old who not only failed to win the OGM despite being propped up for the title for the last three seasons but is also declining with her muscled jumps and terrible technique or the coach that has the current men and women junior champion, multiple juniors ready for success on the senior circuit, and the OGM.

She kind of forgot that by firing first, she opens the door for Zhenya to answer now. And she has no limits either because oh hey. Eteri just said anything is allowed including private data.

Eteri was showing only her own messages. So it isn't ccorrespondence. She can show what she was messaging without any answer. It's Zhenya's fault that she didn't say "goodbay" without escalating drama
