Nice interview! I wish I could read Japanese though...

But I think Google Translator worked somewhat.
I found it interesting the part about the boots and the adjusting of the blades. Apparently, Rika was having trouble with the 3A because of that but she only found out later.
At JW she forgot about the whole boot specifics and that affected her jumping, that's why she performed so poorly.
She also said her success rate with the 4T has improved and she thinks it will be good to go some time in the upcoming season. Rika says the layout isn't decided yet because of the rule changing(I guess they interviewed her a little while ago).
She's also changing technique on the Salchow, she says "Hanyu like style" isn't the best for her, she's changing so it is easier for her to land 4S.
Her goal is to win Beijing Olympics. Until then, she knows she has to win medals and be a strong contender going into the Olympics. She says she wants to insert new jumps into her layout. She also mentions working on other aspects of skating as well as performing, emoting, expression...
:luv17:
So if everything works as planned, Rika will be at 2022 Winter Games with a 4T, 4S and the 3A! I'm rooting for her already!

I'm relivieved to know she had boot problem at JW and it wasn't just the nerves or something. She seems to know exactly what she needs to do in order to be the best.
Can't wait to see how she'll do in the Senior circuit!
