Vincent Zhou

Finally finished dinner. I'm familiar with both Jeremy and Roman's versions of Exogenesis. Of course, I had to go back and re-watch them now to closely study all the details and nuances. Definitely big pair of shoes to fill with Jeremy's iconic version, but I trust Lori and Vincent to make their version different from the others. It's like Moonlight Shomita skating MS to his own tune, making it unique and not be compared to Dai's version. Agree with all the noticeable improvements in body movements. Just hope he would hold his extensions a bit longer. Now I will pray that Vincent and his team will help him pick out a more sophisticated costume this season! Something royal blue, (black would be too heavy for him, IMO), or even white, as long as the fabric and cut are substantial and elegant looking. Really looking forward to seeing the final piece. Please don't make us wait till Champs Camp to reveal your LP!

ETA, Novice Vincent is sooo cute, I wanna make some GIF.

Here is a GIF I have of the opening pose of baby Vincent. Hope you like it. :)

I've just had a long chat with a fan in Beijing and was told that Vincent's Chinese fans are all ecstatic with his choice of music. It's not a surprise that his Japanese fans are also extremely happy with Exogenesis Symphony, Part 3.

It is a beautiful & moving piece of music, that resonates with that part of our hearts that acknowledge hope despite tragedy. It's about starting over again, and having faith in humanity. Maybe the "redemption" part ties in with his disappointing Worlds FS. Vincent acknowledges that there is a big pair of shoes to fill, and I applaud him for not backing down and be willing to tackle a complex piece of music that moves him.

Now let's hope Jeffrey did him more justice this season with the new FP. I hope it is a faster, more upbeat music to balance out the SP. Can't wait for Champs Camp!

Yay! :yay: USFSA has announced their entries for the #CSUSClassic2018 and Vincent will be competing along with Jimmy Ma!

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—U.S. Figure Skating announces the 20 athletes which will represent the United States at the U.S. International Classic in Salt Lake City from Sept. 12-16, 2018.

Men
Jimmy Ma
Vincent Zhou

The event will be the first in a series of 10 competitions that will make up the 2018 ISU Challenger Series. The event will take place at the Salt Lake City Sports Complex, which served as the official training venue for figure skating at the 2002 Olympic Winter Games.

I guess that means Vincent will have to withdraw from An Evening with Champions since the schedules overlap (September 14 & 15). That's too bad, but also every excited that he will get to try out his new programs at U.S. International Classic next month! Wishing him the best!

Latest tweet from USFSA per 2018-19 hair reveal

Vincent looks like he just woke up out of bed and his hair needs some serious conditioning  Must have been all that intense workout from WASA
Where is a good hair stylist and professional intervention :scratch2:? The photographer should have given him suggestion to add some hair gel and fix his hair more before the shoot. :noshake:

IMHO, he also looks way too skinny. I hope he drinks lots of bone broth and take collagen powder for those knees and build up his muscles to endure all that pounding. Stay healthy!

Regardless of the hair, have lots of fun at Champs Camp and hope to see your full SP and FP reveal soon!

His hair looks better from this angle with the Champs Camp T-shirt.
Hope he picked the shirt that says "Strong" or "Fearless".

Vincent in USFSA's "Your Voice is Powerful" SafeSport campaign video, along with the ShibSibs, Karen, Nathan, Jason, Hubbell & Donohue, & Bradie.

I do miss his old hairstyle.....good to know that he has been fielding compliments on his new hairdo, according to Lynn Rutherford's tweet:

Vincent showing his "Your Voice is Powerful" T-shirt. Now show us the back of the shirt: Fearless!

Hmm, just saw this Instagram post from the Colorado Skating Club:

CSC was lucky to welcome Olympian Vincent Zhou to compete at Cup this weekend! Our registration staff loved meeting Vincent.

So Vincent actually competed at the Cup of Colorado during Champs Camp?

Posing with 2 little skater girls: "What a great opportunity for our skaters to meet Olympian Vincent Zhou!!!!"

Vincent and Alex Johnson cooking up something delicious in the kitchen. Make way for the new chef in town .
Looks good, keep eating those wholesome meals! :)

Latest Instagram post from Vincent, with beautiful view from the Garden of the Gods Park in CO.

Less than 10 days.... Vincent will be competing at the US International Figure Skating Classic on Sep. 12th-16th! :cheer:

He still has not announced the FS as of this moment. I'm inclined to think he is keeping it a secret to really surprise his fans with something completely different and fabulous

Really looking forward to seeing both of his programs!

That's gonna be a crazy busy weekend with Lombardia and US Classic! Interesting that Vincent is being extremely secretive about the FS!

Oh, boy, why did I go online when I should be going to sleep :palmf:

Oh, Arriba, I will definitely check out Lombardia for Shoma & Dima as well as rooting for my boy Vincent at his competition. He better surprise us with a spectacular FS (no pressure there ).
Do you know if the Challenger series comps are available via live stream or do fans just wait for someone to upload videos?

Time to go to bed! Good night.

No wonder! Olympic City USA tweeted announcement of Vincent's appearance at the Visitor Center.

Photo of Vincent signing autographs from Olympic City USA tweet:

This #LaborDay weekend, @govincentzhou stopped by the Garden of the Gods Visitor Center to sign autographs, and it was so much fun! Our favorite moment? Finding out about the inner-poet of Vincent.

"During the day I ask, 'why do I skate,' during the night I ask, 'why do I exist."

Those lucky fans!

Edited to add first tweet.

Vincent has been busy on the weekends! Latest Instagram post: Doing volunteer work with the USOC (US Olympic Committee) team members at the Briarfest Festival.

He looks content and in good spirits, ready for his first competition of the new season in a few days! Wishing him the best in premiering his new programs at the US Int'l Classic! Can't wait to see his happy interactions in the Kiss&Cry with TomZ or Tammy. :)

Wishing Vincent the best of luck at his upcoming Challenger event. Last year's Ice Network subscription covered the event. That has now been replaced by NBC Sports Gold, and I see that that U.S. Classic is on their schedule. I'm not sure if there will be any other livestreams. https://www.nbcsports.com/gold/figure-skating/schedule#live-upcoming

Thanks, Arriba! Vincent will be very busy all week as he is still going to participate in An Evening With Champions on Saturday. He is too gracious of a person to pass up the benefit performance.

Did I read that Lombardia will be streamed on YouTube? How nice is that! Can't afford the subscription to NBC Sports Gold so will have to wait for some kind fan to upload their videos of U.S. Int'l Classic.
