2018 JGP Ljubljana Ladies Short Program

Oh noooo that combo :hopelessness:.

I love this choreography. I would actually love seeing Zagitova do it. Tarakanova is just too young to sell it and you can tell she's uncomfortable. And I could really live without seeing a 14 year old girl do that patented Plushenko hip shake.

That was very flat to me - She seemed to just be going through the motions. There's something really awkward about her, and I can't quite put my finger on it. She seems a level below the other top Russian junior women to me.

Tarakanova's program to me flows much better. It feels complete and not like a series of (can be very well done, but still) elements. Not much tango face, though, so I'm not sure it really suits her.

She sold the program much better than last time, and she is lovely in that red dress. Shame about the doubled toe, she was going so well. Personally I wish her lipstick wasn't that bright red, but that's just a tiny nitpick.

Two points of distance between them so either can still win this. Is there anyone here who can threaten the 1-2 podium anyway?

I'd like that unitard a lot if the nude parts weren't that different in color from her skin...

It is so annoying that I can't watch live stream at work (don't tell employer ) but have to wait for the recordings... :ddevil:

She's long-limbed and it takes time to learn to use them right. I also think her choreography is too mature for her, unfortunately.

this isn't the place for the russian girls to make even the smallest mistakes! the pressure is real! i'll go for a run & come back for the jpn girls, lee haein & Yi Christy Leung

Perhaps a clean Sumiyoshi but she wasn't clean at Canada, nor was Nastya, and Nastya still won by 14 points over her

Personally, I'm rooting for Christy Leung, but we shall see what will happen.

The skater from Georgia is all legs! Love her music choice
