It’s ok Alina!!! I’d rather see her get these little mistakes out of the way before GPF, Nationals, and Worlds. She peaked at the right time last season, no need for her to peak now.

Alina Zagitova (RUS)

Only a 3Lz+1Lo. A bit of a dip on the flying entry but very good donut position in the spin. Wonderful expression and great edging through the footwork sequence (Level 4). Charlotte spiral into a turn right before the 2A. Very strong Biellmann spin in the layback, could be better centered (Level 4). Nice rippon 3F on the accent of the music. Strong speed through the final combo spin, might get a V if panel is being very strict (camel after the change of foot seemed very close to 3 rotations).

Still think the PotO music is completely butchered with this edit, even more than Cha's Romeo & Juliet this season (and that's saying a lot), but Zagitova again does the best she can with the choreography. I would give this performance mid to high 8s across the board, but I think the judges will still give this some 9s.

Second popped loop in a 3lz-3lo after Bradie Tennell, was not expecting that. And the thing is that the music cut is honestly the worst horror done by Daniil G, so I just can't get invested in the program. Glass shattering and thunderstorms aside, Phantom of the opera-Think of me-Masquerade-Overture is just a weird combination.

The section of "think of Me" is the one which, imo, shows that she can express music beautifully, if it's not so crowded

If you're going to try to pack a whole musical into a program, don't do it in the short program

Maybe she's trying to perform a public service. Now you won't have to spend the Big Bucks to see the actual show.
